I think that's what he said. If you keep under 180 your safety equipment is much less than if you're over. I have no chance of going over lol.

Car gains around 30mph from 1/4 mile to 1/2 mile so you will need to trap around 150mph in 1/4 to reach 180
Nice. I’ve trapped 147 with a 2.2 sixty foot (L O L!).
She’d probably go 180.

Get a Dragy box and you can see what it traps. Its pretty accurate .I've tested it many times against track equipment

You'd definitely be right around 180. My first half with the built motor I went 180 on the first pass and with that same tune it went 147 in the 1/4. Next pass we added 2 degrees of timing and it went 185. LOL
You can borrow my vbox anytime. It'll tell you and be very accurate. Dave has it right now.

So if a car traps 152-155mph in the quarter at the top of 4th (about 7000-7200rpm, manual trans, 4.0 gear, 28” MT ET R bias ply so figure 29” at 150), with only change being a swap to my street 315/50/17 MT ET R radials 29.5”?
The cams pull to 7300rpm and I do have a NOS spray bar installed, but I’d love to try a 1/2 mile event!
I’ve heard the 5th gear in the T-56/6060/Magnum May not like big power if stock, anyone with experience?
