I’m in the Temecula area and it hit 105 for a bit. I can only imagine in 29 palms! Like relaxing on the sun!

My home is in San Diego and coming down for the weekends is like a godsend lol. But even at a 105 there in temecula I'm sure your feeling it too!

He’s at camp lejeune which may be getting a hurricane on Thursday. Lol.

He left today via airplane and I’m keeping the FiST here until he come home on leave later in the month.

One question so far...is first gear a little vibey compared to the other gears?

Car is insanely fun to drive. Lots of bang for buck.

I'd swap the shifter for him, the bushings might be the weak link.

Not really comparable. The SVT was way underpowered and shifted like a wet noodle. Its prob because they are twenty years apart. The SVT should have been turbo.
Are we talking about a svt focus?

My daily driver . . . I traded a 15 SHO in on a new 17 Fiesta ST in May 2017.

I have put 80k miles on it in just over two years. Getting ready to trade it back in on another SHO. Both are great cars for their own reasons.

The Fiesta is crazy economical -- I never reset the average MPG indicator and got 33.7 MPG over those 80k miles on 87 octane. And, the Fiesta was cheap to work on and handled great.

But, I just miss the SHO too much. Less MPG, more depreciation, higher payment . . . and I'm going to do it anyway.

Definitely nice little cars.

There is one owned by a younger guy around my area that I see on my daily commute and he always like to screw around. I chatted him up once and he is Stage 1 tuned, exhaust and it is lowered. I tend to yank him decently well from a dead stop in my Durango R/T, but, haven't gone passed that point.

You sound like a really good Father.

I was not so fortunate at his age and by the time I was 20, I bought my own cars and moved out on my own.

Respect, sir.

There are only two downsides to the car (at least for me).

First, the unavailability of some options like back-up camera, driver assist, etc. I know such things violate the spirit of the road racing theme, but for us heavy commuters, they would have been awesome.

Secondly . . . its the image. They aren't exactly the car you want when you show up for a first date, LOL. Most people don't realize they are anything more then a small, egg shaped epitome of emasculation :)

His came with a backup cam...lots of nice features imo considering the price point. The sync 3 system is great as well!

They must have added the camera later. For 17, it was only available if you did a hack via Ebay tech, LOL.

Yea, sync 3 was available on most Ford models starting in 17. Apple carplay is great
