Grattan:
I thought the track looked horrible. I agree that won't be representative of a VIR or Laguna Seca.

Cooling:
The ZL1 and ZL1 1LE will fall off a little bit after 8-10 laps, but just a little bit. I'm talking 1-3 mph on the straights and maybe 0.5 seconds on a 1:50 per lap track. Yes it's supercharged, but the cooling is superior to the Z06 Corvette. I'm calling bullshit on this one guys. They may have slowed down, but it wasn't because of pulled timing or limp modes. There were a few ZL1's with air in the supercharger cooling loop from the factory. The numbers that you guys are claiming is too high to be the cause. Maybe the guys are running in one of the nanny modes and the tire temp/pressure is not ideal. None of the ZL1 or ZL1 1LE's that I track with experience this.
As it currently stands now, the GT500's cooling system will be superior to the ZL1 1LE, I posted up an article up top somewhere about Ford and their statements regarding the focus of maintaining consistent hp levels in any type of racing. Within their own testing they focused on the ecu not pulling timing due to heat soak etc etc. Soon enough we will see if this added weight makes or breaks it in the performance against the competition.

I know many will not do this, but starting with a base gt500 and recaros @ $75K-$80K you're hovering around 4,180-4,200lbs. For $20k I think you could really get this car well under 4klbs, replica carbon wheels is a big 1 I will look to add if they are reasonable $$.

That is great if the GT500 has a hella stout cooling system. No one wants a car that is only good for 3 hero laps. I was just correcting a previous post that said ZL1's had heat soak issues.

So you want to bet that the 500 will take the track record on laguna seca, road atlanta and VIR? I have that right?
So beat;
1:28 at LS
1:26 at RA
and 2:40 on VIR..

I'm not calling you or anybody out on the weight pulling thing, I am just saying that it is not easy to remove that amount of weight out of this car or any car and keep some resemblance of the intent of the car from the factory.
!

So now he's hustling you for bets too??? What stupid stipulations has he put on this bet?? Is he lapping his personal car to try to beat RP's times in the ACR cause he was so hell bent on wanting an owner/owner dragstrip race between his car and 19 ZR1???

Said the 500 will beat the ACR at Laguna, Atlanta and VIR. Im sure he's gonna backpedal and say my reading comprehension is off.

Should bet him membership here. Ain't no ****ing way the gt500 will touch the ACR time at laguna seca. The gt2rs barely beat the ACR. Gt2rs is lighter, more power, arguably better dct with their own pdk, 4-wheel steering, etc. Gt500 will not do a 1:28 time.

you guys are hilarious.

Want to know why i wont bet you guys? you keep changing the goal posts. i said the over/under. how close does it have to be?
now you want to bet that it is taking all the records at all the tracks.

your quoting things i never said, nor would. Yet time and time again, the math works out in my favor.

and the weight removal? I can remove roughly 200lbs from that 4225 easily, without sacrificing any daily comforts, but you guys wont bet that either. id have to bet something like 650+ lbs or some stupid shit

Cman wants to bet 2 random people on a random road with a random "test"

tick tock. the POORS are going to be MAAAAAAAAD soon

$12k for 60lbs in unsprung weight. You may as well just get the CFTP from the get go. If you can find one I guess..

I did see a guy turn his gt350 into what is now essentially a road legal GT4 though.

Well if you knew how to give a simple answer I wouldn't have to keep assuming. My question still stands but Im certainly not holding my breathe. I fully expect more beating around the bush with nonsensical Kyle style typing.

How are you removing 200lbs from your car? And why would you? Thought the weight was fine?

That’s what I thought. I think it will be a huge victory for Ford if the 500 can keep pace or even out perform the c7z(prior to heat soak) on some of most tracks.
I think the gt500 will be nipping at its heels. And yes.. that is damn impressive. I've always thought it'll average falling in line between the c7z and 1le but that's obviously going to vary a lot, not sure we'll see it head 2 head the c7z though.
Z51 c8, 1le and 500 will all be a really fun episode with Randy.

With rumors of the 500 4 seconds faster at big willow puts it .0x of the c7z time there with randy driving. This and the above time I believe the 500 will dismantle the 1le. As well it should as it’s a year newer.

We'll see, the C7Z had a rough time setting laps. The 1Le is hilariously close to it. The CFTP will certainly beat the 1le probably everywhere but... It wont be a bloodbath. The real story will be when motortrend does their test as comparing lap times from years ago is only a general idea.
