I haven’t watched the 03/04 cobra market but you never know how the market will take off for them. Years ago I sold my old air cooled non turbo 911 for 9k and people thought it was insane I got that for an 87 with 220k miles. 14 years later and that thing would fetch 40-50k now.

Personally I don’t see the 03/04 doing anything but appreciating to it’s target market. Think how people like supras

I sure hope you do get the 38K, but i still think you are getting an elaborate run-around.... Especially without a cash in hand or escrow deposit.
I believe the OP did say he was doing cash in hand at the bank with an “As Is” BOS before the title ever changes hands.
Good luck on the sale OP. I hope it works out!

Hope it works out for you Kevin, but on a side note after all this work you won’t be able to rip the Cobra one last time after the recent build.
That is true. It's a win win either way for me though
I believe this transaction will happen. I have been in the OP's shoes twice.
I'm more confident yesterday than I was today
Would be funny if he was in here reading along!

Vic
He doesn't seem to have a large online precense. Maybe I'm wrong, he could be here! Although I'd say forums aren't the first choice for the younger kids today
I dunno man. If the buyer is legit, I keep thinking no parent is going to let their 20 year old borrow $13k to buy a non-running 15 year old car for $38k.

So I actually spoke to the guy last night. About 20 minutes. Went over the mod list for the car, probably forgot a whole bunch... Guy is sort of quiet on the phone.

Told him I'd need to know by today what's going on, as it's going to change how I prepare the car the next few days

Getting ready to get the engine on the new K

Is the car on stands or on a different empty subframe with wheels? How’s he going to put it on a trailer? Does he live far away from you?

I have two Ks

Steeda k would go in the car as I already transferred the arms, steering, ect.

Engine trans would go on stock K and in the truck

So I told him last night on the phone I would really need to know today one way or the other. I reminded him I would do 34,000 on the Saleens and keep the CCWs out of the deal...

He said he would go to the bank today before going to work tonight

It's 2:30 now with no texts. Time will tell, but my optimism is waning with time here

Part of me kinda hopes he doesn't buy it, but please don't take that in a negative way, I really want to see you finish this cobra, it's always been one of my favorite cars to see on Instagram.

Your bank is open on Sunday? My bank is not. I think some stores have different banks in them just make sure the location that is open can meet your requirements. Counting cash and notary etc...
Good luck and hope the deal goes through.
