Im still fairly new to the shelby game (Ive owned my 2013 GT500 for close to a year now). I have had several muscle/performance cars in my day but these babies really react to hot weather more than any Ive had before. When the outdoor temps drop 15 degrees or more mine pulls like it has an additional 100 hp. Im basically still stock, just a jlt cai and a canned tune, MGW shifter and drag radials at this point. But man, when it gets cooler it pulls so much better. Makes me want to upgrade the cooling system to keep more of a consistent year round performance. For you vets out that may have done so, any thoughts? I know that heat is the enemy and this cant be completely overcome. But is it realistic to level it out a bit more in the states that get so smoking hot in the summer?

HE with fans, rear ice tank, water/meth injection all help with heat soak.
You’re definitely right, these cars love to eat cool dense air. Glad you have DRs :)

This season coming is great boost weather. It also makes me sad living up North because she will be going into storage soon and winta is around the corner.

I live in AZ and even with a C&R competition heat exchanger and Kenne bell bigun intercooler my car still hates the heat, I pretty much park it all summer long.

This is coming to the market soon. I haven’t seen it discussed at all on SVTP (outside of PMs I’ve had with one other member). It does look like a good mod over what’s currently available for us. Anybody else in on the group buy?

I saw this on DOB site and it peaked my interests. Seems like its a little taller core than an AFCO/VMP but the big thing was it comes with AN ports already welded on.

Cooler weather is definitely boost weather! Unfortunately, it also means reduced traction as tires become a little stiffer and winter storage is just around the corner...
