Traded in my charger hellcat as i just couldn’t use it properly. Here in Wisconsin the roads are already cold and it was a burnout machine even with drag radials on and useless in rain and snow. I also wanted a lighter car yet still able to take my kids daily in it, and they’re too big for the gtr back seat

Car is a 2019 rs3, with all options except driver assist. So far I love it. It’s 1100lbs lighter than the charger. Comes in at 400hp/350tq stock. I’ve already added catless midpipes, big front mount, intake, turbo inlet, black badging, and stage one 91 octane engine/dsg tune. The car moves out reasonably well. Future plans are for e85 stage 1, then e85 stage 2 next year and eventually big turbo and 9’s

Nice upgrade. I've always liked the RS3, plus they can move the hell out with some light mods.

They cool cars . E85 makes a night a day difference on these cars . My friend had RS3 , car went 10.91@127mph with tune , E85 and drag radials only . Back seat room is pretty small as Im pretty sure it's a Golf platform .

They have a couple of streetable, full interior RS3s that are just monsters. One of them is already in the 8's in the quarter.

Full interior LOL . that blue one is gutted with 1 kirkley seat , even the door panels are removed .

I might have conflated their videos against a few others I've watched. It's been a while and I didn't rewatch those videos above. I do know there are more than a few full-interior RS3s in the 9's at least.

Here's the 1/4 mile database from Audizine: LINK

Either way, that flipping 5-cyl is a beast. Makes the 3.0T on my S5 look like a chump.

Are those Audi RS3's considered to be reliable and somewhat cheap to maintain as a daily driver?

I am asking because I have been seriously considering getting rid of my '18 Mustang GT for a 17-19 RS3 for awhile now.

Not sure on reliability, but it sounds like they are fairly reasonable to maintain. They have a solid aftermarket. I just don’t end up keeping cars long enough to do brakes, etc.

Very nice! Great looking car and I'm sure it's a blast to drive.

How does it compare to your RS7? Would you say it's more fun to drive due to its smaller size?

It doesn’t feel as fast as the rs7 and likely isn’t. If I had to guess, I’d say this feels like a mid-11 sec car right now, low 11’s If I switched to e85, and 10’s for sure with e85 and a downpipe, which i have but haven’t installed yet.

On 93, my rs7 is likely a 10 second car and has tons more immediate torque. The rs3 is much much smaller, which is what I wanted.

Sucks to be a car guy in the far North! I hate not driving mine for 60-90 days. Mainly because of the R-compound tires and I'm too cheap to get a set for 2 month.
