Boost loss with cams

I have my appt. set for the 16th of Sept. to have BPS NSR cams and FIC injectors installed in my car.
Current setup shows 17-18 psi. boost, and from what I understand the boost will drop some after the cams.
Really just wondering how much boost will drop?

Planning on doing before and after dyno to see true gains from cams and tune.

I’d guess 1-2# but really all depends on the combo.
You’ll gain power despite the boost loss.
What fuel?
If not octane limited, yes add a 15% lower to gain even more power.

Cool then stay with current pulley ratio until testing after cams.
You’ll like the chop and improved power curve.
Good luck.

Just an FYI...
There is nothing that can be changed in the tune that will increase power. The power increase you achieve will be solely from the physical changes (cam profile) that allow more air into the combustion chambers. The "tuning" that's required with a cam change is solely for driveability, not for power gains. Just thought you'd like to know...

Granted it's not like changing something in the tune magically unlocks 1000HP (insert Mario eating mushroom). However wouldn't fuel/spark tables still need to be adjusted to obtain maximum potential of the cams?

Not really. Not if the tune was right in the first place. Spark is based on load and rpm. If the load is higher with cams, it will advance based on the load value. Air/fuel shouldn't change if the MAF transfer function is correct. Willie is right. It's all about idle and low speed operating functions, and to some degree acceleration enrichment (tip in) and deceleration (popping though the exhaust).
