Well, ****.... since you say it so nicely. I get it now, boss.

Sike!

Let me break this down, Barney style for you, my half-handicapped friend....

“May have”, is a way of saying that you are at least as likely as not willing to do the action. Which, in it of itself is accepting that you would do the action (50% chance).

Which kid would you let take your daughter to prom? The one that tells you, I am going to rape your daughter, or the one that says I “may” rape your daughter?

I am willing to be is neither. Lol.

Rape of one’s daughter was harsh for an example. Cant believe you went there.

“May have “means to indicate that something will possibly happen or be true in the future, but you cannot be certain.

We may have some rain today does not mean it will rain.

Jesus Ohio, it is just an example.

You are correct in your example.

May, opens the possibility, which is basically just as bad.

I have done just that and I’ll tell you this. As Mcglockton, walking out of the store and seeing Drejka, I would feel the dire need to knock the guy out. BUT, would not act on it. No way. I know I can’t just assault him like that. I can’t take a verbal altercation and turn it physical. I’d be legally and morally wrong. I would also open myself and family to a world of hurt.

Only way I would have proceeded to put hands on Drejka, would be if he was putting hands on my woman. Which didn’t happen.

What if Drejka was being verbally abusive and threatening to kill the girlfriend or the child. Again, we don’t know if this true. But what if this was happening.

What would you do? Try to talk some sense into him? call the police and hope they arrive in time?

You said you would not assault or get into a verbal altercation with him.

I’ll respect your answer, you should respect my answer as well.

You are talking about something different.

I didn’t say I would never put hands on anyone. I said I would never put hands on anyone on an assumption and / or hearsay.

I wouldn’t put hands on anyone, if they were just arguing with anyone in my family. It would only happen if they were putting hands on my family and I observed this myself

Those were based on assumptions!

I never said I would not have gotten in a verbal altercation with him. Lol. You made that up.

As for your scenario, if he was doing that, I’d immediately divert his attention to me with very aggressive remarks and try and bait him into making the first move that warrants physical force. Such as trying getting in my face or attempting touching me. I’d put him down after that.

No, I’m not oversensitive. I recognize using that in an example in today’s society is a poor choice.

Did I misunderstand you in post 556 about verbal altercation? I’ll re-read that.

I respect your handling of the scenario. Im not a baiter though.

the MOMENT you offensively attack someone physically is the moment you open yourself up to a defensive measure.

if you physically attack a guy with a gun you're in a gunfight, plain and simple.

me? I'd do everything I could to avoid shooting someone but it is foolish to assume everyone has given thought to the burden their conscience must bear should they end up taking a human life someday.

play stupid games win stupid prizes.

So you hate today’s society. People like that “may be” “going postal” some day.

Ironically, I’m not the one talking about answering a verbal confrontation with assault.

And the other tough guy is dead. What is even worse is he left his family unprotected and vulnerable.

Yep, I’d say he lost that one. Big time.

Nobody won that day. Everyone was a loser in some way shape or form
