People are typically oblivious with spacial awareness and there bags when walking by cars. That scratch could have been from a metal hardware piece on a purse or gym bag and when that person was walking by your car they let it rub against the fender.

I wish I agreed but I don't. I did get it out but with MY eyes when I kneel down and let the light hit it right you can STILL see the indention / valley it made that was some serious force.

To get that leveled out completely it will need 2,000 grit wet sanding. I am happy enough with what I got out to save the microns for another day though..

I totally hear you guys and may be on your side seeing a picture on the internet but I feel like there was without a doubt malicious intent here.

I think you guys are in the mindset that this wasn't someone that I pissed off and keyed my car and you're correct!
However, a mindset is a walking by to go into the gym and see's the car and has the mindset, bump this guy and his perfectly clean GT500 let me swipe it as I walk by the cameras etc won't be able to see me do that...then yes I totally see that something like this mindset happened. Nobody can set and carve into my car where I park. Unless they just didn't care if someone saw them etc because the gym has huge windows to the parking lot..but a swipe like this that would still ruin somebody's day..yes

I'm not trying to argue I just know you couldn't create that force to cause that kind of valley without putting some serious pressure on it. A gym bag or purse that swiped the fender wouldn't cause this.

I tried, the gym does not have any cameras but there is a sams club that joins their parking lot. I got the times that i logged into the gym then headed into sams club. They lady that helped me was SUPER nice but their cameras was absolutely trash and the entire camera pod on the pole near my car was out due to lightning!

The others saw me pulling through but outside of that you couldn't see anything very smudged picture and you couldn't see faces, tag numbers or tell what anyone was doing that was even near the car.

You'd think camera systems in parking lots now days would be on point but i got a huge wake-up call about ever feeling safe with security cameras in a parking lot. This sams club is fairly new i would say at least 2012-2013 time frame being built..

Bummer. Was worth a shot. Seems nowadays there are a lot cameras around, but you're right, they are not much good if they aren't kept up.
