Stock Camaro SS's cut 1.7's on 275's... if the GT500 cant manage a 1.6x in perfect conditions on a 315 then its a piece of dog shit. LOL

None taken, I honestly think ford found a little extra power. ...

They did. Motor Trend or C&D (or maybe Jalopnik?) vaguely mentioned it in an article they did about the GT500's engine. All the tweaks that were done for the GT500 were carried directly over to the GT350. They didn't state a number for the gains. Ford was being cagey. But the '19+ GT350s make more power than the previous ones. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they're now making somewhere in the neighborhood of 540HP at the crank, but Ford isn't re-rating/re-certifying them. But if you're saying you've seen them cut ETs by .25 second, then they're probably making around 550 crank. Somebody's gonna have to take theirs to the dyno to confirm for us.

Motor Trend did and they claim to have made something like 40 or 50 more whp with the 19 car vs the 15 they tested a few years back.

Well damn! That blows my estimates out of the water! So what are we thinking, near 600 crank? I'd say the two dyno runs aren't comparable since they're so far apart, but the weather conditions were similar, if I recall, and it was the same dyno. That's not to say something didn't change with the dyno itself.

It is conceivable that it now makes near 600. The 458's 4.5L NA V8 puts out 570HP. Zero reason the Voodoo couldn't do more.

the 19 car made 27whp more. So a theoretical 555 crank. They would have to back that up with increased trap speeds for me to take it serious.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and just happen to be decently familiar with the EPA certification process, and unless Ford re-certified the Voodoo, there is 0% chance the car make that much more power. If they even think about touching the engine mapping.....re-certify. Any possible change to emissions....re-certify. With that being said, they can originally certify an engine at a higher level, and tune it down. 40-50 HP seem a little extreme though.

For a very limited production engine on the backside of it's life cycle, I would be shocked if they went through the process.

Ferrari's execution of the FPC engine is significantly different than Ford's. In the name of cost, NVH, and overall engine size, the Voodoo sacrifices several key advantages that a FPC normally offers.

Any word on the oil consumption issue for the 19 gt350? If that's fixed and the motors aren't blowing up, I'd be a buyer.

Right? I’m honestly desirous of a clean, lightened 3500lbs gt350 with my own simple single 80mm combo than I am for anything turn key and, well, heavier/not manual...

I love the gt500 as a halo mustang but I’m a happier better buyer for ford this go around as the mach1 or boss buyer vs the cobra/gt500 buyer.

We’ve seen 705whp so far.

Something tells me we’re going to be getting very healthy dyno numbers from the new gt500 ala terminator days of “390hp” being closer to 430.

So then I opened the 2019 gt350 dyno article link

It Makes How Much? We Dyno the 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 - MotorTrend

So 494whp from a “526hp” rating...

Ok. By that kind of badassery, it’s not unrealistic to daydream about a 720whp gt500.

Im not saying it will, but we will soon find out.

^yer off by 15whp. **** you op. Yer stupid.

It aint cutting no 1.6 on a street tire. 1.7 lowest and still 99% unlikely. 1.8 is the best I think one can hope for street tires.

1.6 should be no problem with a radial though

Yer off by a bit. So far it’s gone [email protected] with 1.72 60ft by speed phenom. His channel is the one that also has the video in this post where it made 705whp.

Some other people in here thought it would make 650whp. Props, it did! They were conservative by 55whp.
