Hello everyone. What is the best way to keep my vinyl wrap safe and protected? I've heard to not but any wax on it. I would like to keep my wrap for a couple of years and have it looking new.

The McKee's 37 Matte Finish Cleaner & Protectant is also safe to be used on vinyl decals and wraps.

Do you have a matte wrap or glossy wrap?

If it's glossy, you can wax it just like paint and that will protect it just like paint.

I decided to give Adam's Spray Ceramic a try, because it works on paint and vinyl. In particular, it's okay to use on matte/satin vinyl finishes. Used it on my satin wrapped Miata and I couldn't be happier. Makes cleaning stupid simple.

Did you do anything prior to applying the Adams Ceramic Spray? besides washing the car lol

What he said. Nothing else required. In my case, I wrapped the car myself. So a quick IPA wipe down was all that was necessary before I coated with ceramic.

It's been coated for 6 months, and it's still really stupid simple to clean.

thanks guys! I have another question. There is an emblem placed over the wrap that I am thinking about removing. Is it possible to remove an emblem that is placed over a wrap? I wouldn't want to start using some fishing line and pull up the emblem if it's going to pull up the wrap as well

Agreed. You never really know the lengths someone went to when it comes to that kind of stuff.

For example, I bought my C7 used, and the previous owner had vinyl stripes installed. After I'd had the car for about a year, I wanted to ditch the stripes because I didn't know how long they'd been on, and I wanted to save myself headaches down the road. Apparently, whoever installed the stripes had trouble removing the front emblem. I don't know what they took it off with, but it looked like they hacked at it with a butter knife. Paint around the emblem was trashed. Luckily I was able to bring it back with some wet sanding and M105, but I was sweating bullets there for a minute.

Rear emblem they just wrapped the stripes around. No vinyl underneath.

So yes, tread carefully.
