OP here...it's got absolutely nothing with "top dog" status - at least for me. I've had many high performing Fords...including a brand spanking new 2005 Ford GT - all four options white / blue stripes. It's gone & that was a different time for me...that all said, truthfully I like driving my 2013 GT500 vert. And it's quicker / faster. The GT cost me $156,995 MSRP at the time. How much is a loaded with ADM 2020 GT500? Makes my GT seem like a bargain...and my 13 fully loaded GT500 at only $69,900 Mmmm. Man I thought my 13 at just under 70k MSRP was outrageous at the time.

You're in good company! For many (all?) of us, it's about what we prefer to drive. While the 2020 will reportedly make great power off the showroom floor and will likely set new performance standards for a Mustang, I simply don't care. I strongly prefer the S197 appearance and driving vehicles with three pedals. Moreover, Ford's lamentable Willy Wonka-based allocation process and despicable price gouging dealers are working together to prove how quickly fools and their money are parted.

The 2020 fan club, some of whom ironically haven't had "top dog" status in many years, is either lost or just here to troll.

If I had a Ford GT I would never sell it unless I needed a kidney or something... and even then... maybe not.

The 2020 will be badass, and I almost guarantee I'll own one, but I still love my 14 GT500 and the 13/14 GT500s are still a blast to drive and hold there own.
