J2Fab Alternator Question

After months of weekends of tearing apart the car, rebuilding the Eaton snout, and upgrading the electrical system I’m finally where I can start the car and burp the cooling systems.

While burping the systems I noticed that the supercharger belt is not aligned. The pulley on the alternator is farther forward toward the front of the car than the other pulleys.

I’m guessing this is normal (ish) and just needs to be adjusted. Is there a trick? It doesn’t seem like there is much adjustability in terms of front to back.

Probabky best to call j2 and see what they say. Some people say that the alt can be shimmed forward or backward but from what I've seen you'd have to machine the top mount on the alternator to do that. Only other thing to check is to remove the alt pulley and see if there is a removeable spacer in there.

I’m hoping for shims behind the pulley. We will see. Not really liking the idea of altering a brand new part in order to make it fit. Needless to say if I screw it up I imagine that would make it more difficult to claim any sort of warranty later.

That looks way out of alignment. You sure you did the install correct? It looks to be more than 1/2" off.
