Awesome car.
I can't wait to see one in person. My buddy is getting one.

Clint also sent me a shot of the "emissions exemption" label the prototypes all wear...

Its the little things that drive me nutz.....same light switch as my 16' F350...... like identical.

Looks like lots of heat shielding to remove on bottom for weight reduction...

Also what is the buttons on front of hood? factory hood pin setup?

Yes, they had to put those hood pins on the car because of the hood wanting to lift during higher speeds.

Yeah, it WOULD lift, according to Ford Performance boss Carl Widmann. "The hood pins are necessary to make sure the hood is stable at speed. If you took the hood pins off that car and ran it, it'll lift", Widmann said. Ford will not sell the 2020 Shelby GT500 without hood pins. Period. Don't even ask.

This is also the reason they advise the customer to remove the hood vent rain tray before tracking the car. At speed there is a tremendous amount of air pressure in the engine compartment that will cause lift at speed, so they need to vent some of it through the hood vent.

I asked for a photo of it and hoped the resolution would have been higher but eh, it's the best I got.
At the GT350 Powertrain Reveal I got a closeup of the same thing...

Thanks for the photo Tob.
So, what does that really mean? Does it have an affect on people living in states with emissions testing and so on?

My friend has one on order and I can't wait to see it in person.
I'm sure I'll get a ride in it as well.
