I guess we’ll see. With the extra weight not convinced it’s going to be all that much faster.

What? lol, ok.

A 2007-14 GT500 with a 2.65L Supercharger with supporting mods will make more power than the 2020. That’s a whole lot of $$$ for a blower swap. Ford should have given us more than just a bigger blower for waiting 6 years. Where is the Twin Turbo V8s?

Nope.

The Coyote architecture is a large step up from the trinity hardware.

This new motor comes from the factory revving to 7500 rpm. 8200 is well within reason and with the torque the 2.65 TVS makes you will literally notice next to 0 loss in torque output.

The factory gen 3 coyote has already shown to take 900whp in stock form.

The 2020 GT500's motor has substantial improvements over the gen3 and i wouldnt be surprised if stock shortblocks dont take 1000whp with relative ease.

There really is no comparison between the old 5.8 and this new 5.2.

Based on what? The 2020 has substantially better heads, and revs higher. The marginal increase in displacement alone is not enough to make up the difference.

Exactly....

I bet Ford is tweaking this car behind the closed doors as the 2020 Base Corvette will run 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds, It may be faster than we think.
Im pretty sure it was always going to be fast period. I think the c8 will win from stop light to stop light but no chance from a roll till the Z06 comes out. What id love to see happen is the Demon vs 500 from a roll as I really have no idea what the outcome will be

Demon up 80hp but 150# heavier. It’s ZF A8 is damn close to a DCT but still slight advantage to GT500.
I’d give it to the Demon with both on drag radials at the strip due to strip focused suspension and toss up from a roll.
Fall release for performance testing should be good for Shelby. But let’s get it done already.

I think you have missed the point! People don’t hate the the car, People are upset with Ford including myself. Also at some of the Dealers with the ADM. This New Shelby is just 1 Big Dream for me I’m POOR.... And 1 last thing what is it with the Gold Ticket car? Is this the 1 out of 6 cars Ford is making

Nah not missing no point, I too was a bit disappointed that this car weighs more than my ‘14 GT500 but just as the fatter demon does what it does goes to show weight is a fraction what they can do with these cars.
