Contemporary Jazz is my thing. No skulls with swords jammed through their eyes, no one being impaled on jagged shards of rusty iron. No monsters with massive horns and seriously crooked teeth. In fact no mention of death or dismemberment whatsoever. Just music that is pleasant to listen to.

How about dogs, pickup trucks, sweet tea, fishin' with a cane pole, muscadine wine in the moonlight by the creek and line dancing to Brooks and Dunn with a hot long haired blonde in a short denim skirt with pink boots while drinkin' a long neck of yer favorite barley pop?

All joking aside, my guilty pleasure music is classical/orchestral, instrumentals, shoegaze, folk, oldies of all sorts (40's-60's, what they call "car show music" these days... weird), and sometimes 80's/90's Billboard just for ironic nostalgia.

But 90% of the time, I'm all about high gain and technicality. Lately I've been practicing mixed time signatures and "exotic" chord progressions. Almost sounds like an atonal mess until it suddenly matches back up and makes you go "hmm..." Really trying to get better at music theory since it really does make a massive difference in composition. I was stuck in a rut of playing the same widdly-wah pentatonic garbage every day for years, then dug in and started researching other styles of music and fusing them in. HUGE difference. Wish I had done it sooner.

JUST FOUND THEM!?!?!?!

Carrion
Wild Eyes
Bottom Feeder
Vice Grip
Crushed

All much better (imo) than their new album! New album's sound is a bit weird compared to their older stuff.

Here ya go!

Definitely was a change in sound, but most of the songs grew on me over time. Especially Wishing Wells and colour of leaving after losing someone I knew at an early age(30's).
