It’s also front heavy like the 2013/14. Front heavy are not as track friendly IMO

A tad over 320 lbs more than my 2014 GT500 weighed. Ouch.. Most of the additional weight is in the front half of the car.

It'll still be a hero lap terror, but at some point, all that mass will catch up with it.

Don't want to start a war, but the ZL1 1LE is like 375# lighter. That's is a significant difference, given very similar sized cars and features.

It clearly won't be as fast, but you have to tip your hat at their weight management.

At least the GT350R weighs a lot less. There is no way I would buy a GT500 to track at the road course. All that extra weight means more consumables need to be replaced soone....., brake pads, tires, ect.

My ACR is super light (3350 with me in it) and it goes through tires, pads etc, stupid fast :(

Lol imagine the 2016-7 Viper ACR owners. My friend goes to Mosport and his front tires last only three 20 minute sessions. He just brings another set of wheels.

Yeah, if you have to gut it or worse spend another 10-12k to get it below 4k lbs then probably not the best car to start with for track duty.

Oh well.. my miles will be 90% street so I'm not so concerned.
