I find this odd.

I went years ago and in the tech this was a test.

“In drive engine running, shut it off”......

But driver is out money.

Staff kinda a bit jackassery.

Sent from my POFS iPhone in a rage cause this is the third try.

How is the staff jackassery. Staff tells driver multiple time to shut the car off. Driver then wants to cause a fight because he refuses to listen to staff. Staff then refuses to put out a fire on drivers car because the driver wanted to cause a scene. Video pretty clear on what happened. Not sure why most cant see it. Seems like demons are burning down regularly these days

I’m sorry if you are standing there with a fire ext. and solution is to walk away and risk causing extensive heat damage to the track that supplies you an income.

That is jackassery in my opinion.

Because the guy didn’t know his car is a different set of problems, and also makes him a tool, which I never spoke of.

Well here is what i think. I think driver is definitely a knucklehead due to his response to how track official acted. Id be dead before i let my own car sit there and burn. If it was an instant fireball then different story on my end. However i also feel like the track official is the type of guy who has no authority anywhere else in his life and had the "take my ball and go home attitude" when ol boy didnt do what he said to do. Then once pressured by everyone he did what he should have done in the first place and that is what is right.

Walk over to driver side window and tell the driver to shut the car off and pop the hood. At least nothing could have been misconstrued then.

Or he has enough common sense to realize that he's not qualified (or supposed to) fight car fires at his place of employment, especially for someone acting like that Demon owner.

Lesson to be learned by all....buy a fire extinguisher before you buy a Demon.

Could have easily happened in the middle of Mexico at 3AM. Better to be prepared.

Seriously though, lots of fail in that video on everyone’s part.

I would have too if the driver called me an asshole. Owner could have easily just popped the hood, got out and explained that it wouldnt shut off instead of acting like macho man.
Cant blame the marshall for getting mad at it not shutting down initially, people are that stupid..
What's the Reason driver yelling at crew.....to say he couldn't turn car off???

It had nothing to do with common sense, there was literally zero in that vid displayed by all parties involved.

But it did had everything to do with long cocking. The fact he ran in like the hero to save the day, negates his common sense entirely. But when cheats began to puff up he walked.

Faggitory everywhere in that vid.

Yea, the official obviously could not hear him, so instead of immediately pouting with your thumb in your mouth, pop hood, get out and reasonably explain. Problem solved.

I stopped going to Milan years ago, when I heard they had sand in the race fuel they sell there. The video pretty much sums up the entire state of mind of EVERYBODY there customers included. Its like its cool to be rude and nasty and act all hard now.

All n all.....
Driver loses BigTime, or he had track insurance...
We witnessed many track fires n crashes, But,,,
Never saw anything like this staff.
I think the track owner could sue the driver for
" lack of due diligence ". Not opening the hood......
When driver says " leave it burn ".

I disagree. When the track official said something like 'Screw the driver and let it burn' and picked up the Extinguishers and walked away with them stopping anyone from putting out the fire. That is when the track is negligent and could be on the hook for damages.

I’m with you 99%. The issue I have is that track safety acted extremely unprofessional and unbecoming of a safety official. When they left the scene and took the fire extinguishers with them, while saying “let that ****er burn”, they ****ed up. It then became pure negligence.
This is my point exactly.
Accidents are going to happen. I've watched nitrous backfires blow hoods off, seen fuel lines burst and combust, watched blowers launch off of the block, etc. At no point did anyone blame the track. A racer knows the risk of pushing a machine to the limit. You can blow a diff, lose an axle, snap a drive shaft, hit a wall, or any other number of unfortunate events could take place. That is all on the owner / driver.

However, when the crew walks off in the manner this one did, the crew and track are responsible due to neglect. The crew screwed up due to their actions; they were in the clear until they decided to walk away and say, "let it burn".

Was the driver a jerk, idiot, or all of the above? It's possible, but I would likely be pissed off if my car was on fire, would not shut down, and I had the people that should be helping screaming at me negatively.

Neglect places the track at fault. That is my opinion though.

I agree 100%!
That's their job to put out fires and clean up other little mishaps. Those dudes are losing their job for sure. At least I hope they do.
