I’m currently moving to New York . I don’t know it’s worth to take the cobra with me , any one moving from Texas to New York , what the law there about mod cars . Beside I won’t have the garage for it . Unless I rent the storage . I love my cobra , at the same time I 99% don’t want sell it . But about bring it up here and rent the storage .... and don’t know much about the law here for mod cars ... I don’t know what to do now .

Well I'm running a 04 Cobra engine in a V6 body/reg so they're not too strict haha. Most shops do a pretty basic visual for inspections, beyond that you just have to not have a check engine light and not have more than 1 or 2 monitors off. If you have EGR and Cats you'll pass no problem, if you delete the cats with MIL eliminators or turn them off in the tune you'll probably be okay if you find a lazy shop that doesn't really look too hard into the exhaust. I don't think you can have cats delted AND EGR, I believe it's one monitor too many off, maybe with MIL eliminators.
I'm on the Island and don't have many issues, there are a ton of performance shops around so a fair amount of modded cars. Access to e85 is a plus too.
I will say my new build is going to have cat-less ARH 1 7/8" long tubes so I'll let you know if I can get them passed inspection in a week or two.
If you're on the Island you're going to be looking at $300-400 a month for a car sized storage locker.
Why the hell would you want to move to NY? Unless you have a major pay increase and I mean major that state is the devil.

My gf are moving back to ny closer to her family and she having a job transfer there. This news came out off no where , I know we gonna live in a apartment , first thing I though is my cobra.
It have a check engine light . Because the rear cat delete . I always telling myself to take to the tunner and let him tune it off ,

If storage up there cost $300-$400 a month , I might have to sit down and talk to my gf about this moving ... but how can I tell her I don’t want move because of the cobra ... and my kids are here ...

You're moving there because of your girlfriend, but your kids will stay behind? Is that correct?

I had the opportunity 10 years back to move to New York for a really interesting job. I did the math on taxes aND OH MY GOD THE INSANITY!

Kids above all. Even if I ever ended up single another woman won't become more important than my kids. One guy I used to hang out with moved so he could stay close to his kids. I say let her go and stay in Texas.
The only thing worse than the taxes here are the roads.
