I recently bought a bone stock 89' Mustang GT. One of the exhaust pipes from the cat back is still the original. I just swapped the exhaust out on the car. I'm debating on saving the stock pipe (other one had been replaced), selling it or throwing it out. Anyone know if there is any demand for an original exhaust from these cars? I did cut the pipe so I didn't have to take the suspension apart to get it out. Could be easily welded back together.

Used exhaust sections have little value. Sometimes the manifolds or tips are desirable but usually not anything in between.

I know stock exhaust is usual nothing but a paper weight. Just didn't know with so many people fixing up old fox body cars if there was an value because its original.

ahhhhhh, a NOS LX (LX with straight tip, vs GT) fox exhaust is worth over $1000.

Yes its is worth something, but one side, and the fact you cut it, has hurt the potential value. People interested in this are looking for concourse style judging (nuts like me that like original batteries, tires, and oil filters, for "unrestored" judging)

That's interesting on the LX tips. They obvoiusly look way better than the GT plus you can see a lot of the LX tip where the GT tip is pretty much hidden.

I was also going to say that a clean set of original LX tips would have some value.

GT tips not so much because you can't really see them.

'03 darin I would It's relatively inexpensive to get the custom pipe work done. I brought an X pipe with,as well as the 2 magnaguard mufflers.
