Door handle

So I have been having an issue with my 2012 driver door handle. 90% of the time it will open the door, but normally once a day when I unlock the door I cannot open it from the outside. The handle feels like the door is still locked, however if you open it from the inside then shut the door semi hard it "fixes" the outside handle for a little bit.

Has anyone had this issue before? I am not sure if it needs an adjustment or if I need to get a new door handle.

More than likely the door lock actuator.

Figured it out. The door was unlocking however there was too much play in the rod that connects the door handle to the latch.

The rod slides in to two slots on the exterior handle, and since there was a decent amount of play it allowed the top to shimmy out. Would get popped back in when the door was shut or opened from the inside handle.

There is a pink clip that you can adjust the slack in the rod. Adjusted it up a little and so far so good.
