I've had a few vehicles that the headliner cam down or just plain fell apart. Hate that.

Don't the Fox body cars had the headliner that's clued to cardboard that's in the shape of the roof?

There is a cardboard backer yes. And then there is foam and the material. If the board is in good shape you just need material. I’m getting ready to do it to my coupe soon.

Most headliners I've seen fixed by a do it yourself type repair turned out pretty ugly. Could usually see the glue lines all through the headliner.

Hope yours goes well. Post some pictures of the process if you don't mind.

Thanks. Having fun with this car. It's funny how back in the day when I drove these as demo's how "fast" they were. Driving it now in stock trim and comparing it to what the current cars are capable of is stagger. Makes me think of all the old school customers that I talk to who are always talking about a "hot rod" they had back in the 60's or 70's and how it would blow away anything on the road today. Always gave me a chuckle and now evey time I drive the 89' makes me think about that.
