I doubt it is legal to walk (if someone complains) to your mailbox in your birthday suit so that comparison is out the winda. As stupid as it was and as proactive as people want to be, if the boy didn't break any laws, well, he didn't break any laws and trying to jam him up on some feel good approach is poppycock IMO. If he didn't do anything illegal, I wonder if the firefighter can get jammed up even civilly regardless of his good intentions.
THIS! He obviously wasn't intending to harm anyone. He walked around filming himself with his cell phone, and then casually walked out an exit door. He was either making a statement, like you said, or wanting publicity of some sort. Hell, for all we know he may have done it in support of anti-2A people. To fuel the debate.

Exactly. Self-defense and defense of others. I could open carry near me, but drive 15 miles south to Hippy-Lib town and trigger everyone.

here's the problem with tons of laws. we want to know "what did this guy do wrong?" because our culture says implicitly "if its legal you shouldn't tell anybody its a bad idea or hinder them in any way" so people go from doing NOTHING to calling the cops and letting them handle it.
in the REAL world we have communities and people who care about one another so if I see you doing something that is a stupid idea that seems like its going to result in someone getting harmed I don't really care if its legal or not, you're going to experience resistance.
play stupid games and eventually you'll win stupid prizes. open carry should be perfectly legal in all cases and people should also have some sense of what is appropriate.

Port St Lucie Police say there was no credible threat found when a man asked a Walmart clerk Tuesday night about a gun that could kill 200 people.
Phil Atte, of Port St. Lucie, was not charged, and later said he did to make a statement against the sale of certain guns.
“I’m in a Walmart a few days after el Paso and I’m seeing a white nationalist looking guy purchase a gun and I got mad,” Attery says.
Attey, told WPTV that what he said at Walmart "was in poor taste."
Attey is a self described gun violence prevention activist, who grew up on the Treasure Coast and now lives in Washington, DC.

I bet it was a leftist making a statement. Sad thing is no hero stopped anything, if he wanted to he would have. On the flip side, if the media coverage on who the guy is, is correct then the headline should read 2A supporter arrested for excersising his rights.

I agree. If he wanted to shoot up the place he would have. Had ample time to and instead was just shopping.
He may have been but he was doing it to create chaos which is why they are charging him with terroristic threats. That is all the hardcore 2A guys do, they try to create chaos, and that is why I do not care when they get arrested.
