Took the R out for some fun yesterday. It is such a treat to drive this car!

Hey Goose,
I am not so sure about your hipster beard? :D

I’ve been on vacation for a few weeks and haven’t shaven until tonight... we went to a recognition dinner for my son who is gratuating in the top 10 out of ~400 students in his senior class. I had to clean up my act a bit! I cannot have a beard at work, so when I’m off, I let my inner ape out!

Is that a Metallic floor coating? If yes what color?
Thanks

Yes, it is metallic epoxy. The process was:
1. Grind slab
2. Black epoxy primer
3. Color coat with blue (forget the name) and silver mist mixed randomly.
4. Move the product with squeegee, leaf blower and chemicals to create “waves.”
5. Polyethylene top coat.

You seem to know the process did you install it yourself?
Will the floor withstand a wrench dropped on it?
I found a company near me “Metallic Epoxy Flooring | Slip Free Systems Floor Coatings
And when I saw your floor it looks just like Caribbean on their website.
Thanks

I had a local guy do it. I explained what I wanted... he had never done anything quite like it, so I was involved in the process.

The floor does chip when heavy items are dropped. I currently am doing a big-ass project in the garage... I’ve completely disassembled the bottom of one of my cars for corrosion control. I’ve dropped a few things and chipped the floor, but I have extra product (2 part color epoxy) that I simply mix and fill-in the chip. Once this project is complete, I’ll fix the boo boos.

Never get tired of seeing pics of that garage. I especially like when the Teal Cobra is in there. Awesome!
