I'm already over on the dark side. The C8 just makes it that much easier to stay here.
boats and pwcs are crazy expensive !If weren't hard for getting a new bass boat I'd consider the C8...and yes bassboats cost as much as a new vette
I'll agree with that. The side and front end look great!even from video the front end and side shot looks orgasmic.
You have a beautiful car. One of my dream cars for sure.Already went to the dark side. It's nice over here.
even with 500 horse the speed times are going to be fantastic. The c8Z is going to be mind blowing. If manage to wad up my GT500, I just might replace it with a C8. I recall reading speculation that the Grand Sport version will have 600 hp, naturally aspirated. If true, that would make a pretty appealing track toy.
That's the thing, I am in the market.
I went to a Ford dealer that I have been doing business with for over 20 years. I was going to replace my GT350. They wanted $90k and refused to take the ADM off. I asked about the new GT500. They told me $120k for everyone else, but "may" sell one to me for $115k.
Why would I do that? I can buy a Ferrari f430 for $75k and a 458 Italia for about $120k. I would much rather have a 2013-2014 Ferrari than a new Mustang.
You must have never built a corvette before... I work on C7 vettes literally everyday at my shop making over 4 digit power all the time and trust me depending on your hp goals it is about the same price or a little cheaper to build the mustangs...
I think he was referring to vehicle purchase price and ADM’s. I could be wrong though.
Aren't you in N. Va? If so the personal property tax deters us from high dollar purchases. It makes much more sense, for the money.
I wouldn’t put much stock into those rumors. The General attempted a 7.0L LT based engine for the C7Z and scrapped it as they could not meet emissions targets with the HP goal they had in mind. That is why the C7Z was SC.If manage to wad up my GT500, I just might replace it with a C8. I recall reading speculation that the Grand Sport version will have 600 hp, naturally aspirated. If true, that would make a pretty appealing track toy.
Don't forget the stupid allocation hoops Ford wants you to jump through to get a new GT500 as well.Nope... you are correct. The retail price and ADM's are ridiculous. The concept of the car you can afford on a secretary's salary is distant memory.
If I am spending well over $100k... its going to be a low miles Italian exotic.
If I was in the position and market for a new toy, I would be after a C8.

I'm "buying it for my wife" as well ...hahahahaha.... my uncle used that trick when he bought a vette ....
