Anyone know where I could get a set of front OEM springs?

eBay unless someone on the forum has some saved. Which car and year?

Funny... with all the damn eBay shopping I do, it had not occurred to look there for OEM springs!

The car is my latest aquisition, which I haven’t made public yet. It’s an SN-95.

I am assuming convertibles and coupes use the same front springs...? Anyone know this for sure?

The aftermarket springs are different between coupe and convertible, but I can't confirm what Ford did for OE.

Just did a little reasearch... front springs are the same between the Cobra and GT. They are different springs than what are on the front of the 03/04 Cobras.

There were a couple on eBay, but I’m going to shop around and see if I can find a set with less corrosion.

Was curious and dug into a parts diagram... rear springs from the factory appear to be the same for both coupe and verts across all of the Mustangs: V6, GT and Cobra.

I always thought coupes had different OEM springs vs the vert. Spring rates are different

I looked at the parts diagrams on Auto Nation Ford White Bear Lake’s website. It does not differentiate between coupe or vert. I would have thought the front springs were the same and the rear might be different.

I can't be sure, but I am suspicious that Ford's parts drawings show a lot of dumbing down or supersedes of part numbers from related models as the vehicles get older and thus, less demand for parts.

This is the page from my 97 FSM that deals with spring rates. Hopefully you can glean some info from the body codes on the car

My 97 Cobra VC label says JJ55 for springs. Decoding the part numbers above yields Fronts (JJ) are F4ZC-JA and the rears (55) are F4ZC-AEA I think.
