Being that this took place in Texas then this is more than likely the outcome on this.

But again when seconds count the cops are minutes away.

The problem with the law in this case is it has no way to be enforced. It's a check box on a forum.

It's also subject to a HUGE range of interpretation - is someone with depression or anxiety automatically barred from ever owning a fire arm? What about OCD, Hoarding, sexual fetishes, phobias, etc?

If I break down crying at work one day does that mean I can/should expect the FBI to raid my house after my coworkers report me as "mentally unstable"?

As a modern society. We have him dead to rights. There is no question he did it. It's on video, there are witnesses, finger prints and all.
