SURPRISE! (8 legged variety)

We get woods/wolf spiders in the house all the time. I actually trained the dogs to hunt for spiders. I tell em "get the spideys" and they take off to the rec room. Its hilarious! keep an eye on em during this to make sure they dont find something that could hurt them.

I have seen black widows before in the area, but not common.mostly house centipedes, woods spiders and cob spiders. There are tons of jumping spiders but they are like teddy bears of the spider world to me.

And everyone bitching about Florida and insects.

I think mainly the people ! No offense!

Black widows are very common, I always do a scan of our patio before my kid or dog head out. I guess the spider population is why I don't see any SVTP members in RSM?

A coworker's daughter got bit by one a few weeks ago. I forget exactly what happened but she was in the hospital for a minute, in addition to the usual bad stuff with black widow bite, she had a separate allergic reaction to it.

Black widows are pretty common in Cali.

@Coiled03 @Revvv You both got me there. I wish Southern Orange County, spiders and all, could be disassociated with the rest of the state.

Most of them are in politics.

I’d add a lighter flame to that stream and make double sure

One time I was walking up to the Garage door and as I was about to open, this nasty lookin mo fo scurried up into my wall which was unfinished and he got up under some framing, don't know what it was but for the sake of svtp I'm just gonna say it was a Brown Recluse..

I couldn't see him, so I grabbed a can of WD40, sprayed a little, and then a lighter and blew a flame up in his general direction, I wait about 5ish seconds, nothing, I take a step over to try and kneel and take a look, he runs out from under a 2X4 on fire.. freaked me out, I blow another flame and miss him, he continues to climb up the framing, still burning, he makes it up a few inches and just as I'm about to switch to brake clean, he then falls over upside down and proceeds to kick for another few seconds. Creeped me the F OUT !

I can't fault you there! The C8 tickles my balls as well and if the 'haters' are being honest, it does theirs too....
