Hello All. I know this is a topic that's gone round and round so I apologize in advance for being that guy.

With that said long story short the wife and I have paid off all our debt and I'm exploring ideas of what my next toy will be. I've had an 11 Shelby, more than one Gen 2 CTS-V, and currently a C7 Z. Absolutely love the Z06 but with the new found financial freedom I've got the itch for something new or maybe added to the stable.

I've been throwing around the idea of saving up a year or so and maybe getting into the baby exotic game or waiting to see what the C8 has in store for the Z(HiPo) variants. Below are some of the cars I've been considering. Let me know what you all think and any suggestions.

Replacement for the Z06
C8 Z06
R8 V10+(2017)
991 Turbo S - Love the performance but prefer the GT 3 looks.
570S - Maintenance costs scare the crap out of me.
NSX - I really want to like them

Addition to the Z06
Gen V Viper
GTR
Gen 2 CTS-V - Really enjoyed my previous 2. Would be a great DD.

991 Turbo S or Viper ACR. Whatever you get from your list it will be awesome.

I think it would be silly to not see how the C8 Z06 pans out.

Id say a 2020 GT500, but by the time it comes out with ADM at the typical dealer, you would probably be at the same price as a C8 Z06.

What do you do with the car? If you are going to a road course fairly regularly all of the above options would be fun. If it's purely a street car I would buy a Redeye Challenger or see what they do with the Charger and the Redeye platform.

I really keep going back and forth between the R8, Turbo S, and waiting for the C8. My issue with the C8 is I refuse to play the ADM game. That means I'm likely waiting 2 years or so assuming they release a Z in 2021.

Never even considered a kit car. Definitely a possibility! Thanks.

Always wanted a Viper and Gen V's are dead sexy. May go test drive one to get a feel for them. Having a C7 Z and Viper in the garage would be a great combo!

This is probably the smart buy. I keep hearing that once I drive one I'll be hooked.

Drop dead sexy! Whats keeping me from looking at Huracan's and previous generation Ferrari's is the maintenance. Same thing that's keeping me from being sold on the the McLaren. Keep reading horror stories of 25k+ transmission replacements etc.

I think you're right. Before I choose I'm likely going to wait at least a year to get more concrete information on the new Z. If they manage to keep the weight in check and drop in A TT V8 that would be a great choice. Exotic looks crazy power and reasonable maintenance/upkeep.

And how does no one ever look at an Ariel Atom. For $80,000 you get one of the fastest land missles around. Build your own or have them build it with you in Virginia(next to VIR!).

Well, lets be realistic. I wouldn't go out of my way to spend 100k+ on something everyone else has. I would definitely vote exotic.

But the newer Lambo's sharing the R8 chassis/drivetrain makes me feel it's a better option over the Ferrari and McLaren variants.

This is really the reason I like the R8. It checks the exotic box and gives me performance slightly better than my Z although NA vs FI. Also buying it used I get to avoid that new car depreciation hit i'd experience if I went with a C8 Z.
