Driveshaft recommendation

looking for driveshaft recommendations. Car started off skipping at a low rpm if i was in too high of a gear but now skips and vibrates throughout the gears. Believe it to be a driveshaft. Looked at the ford racing ones but are there stronger shafts for a little more money? Dont see any that say horsepower ratings. What did you use?

what do you mean by skipping?

When i hit the gas it’s almost like slightly jumping. Best way i can describe it is when you his the gas, the clutch isnt slipping but it’s as if the gear teeth are stripped and its catching every other tooth (even though i dont think that’s what it is)

I purchased an aluminum Ford Performance drive shaft for my car and it seems to be doing ok so far, car is making around 500hp.

Your problem sounds more like a rear diff issue.

Check your u-joints if you haven't already.

I briefly looked at them but nothing jumped out at me. Anything in particular i’m looking for?

Ford aluminum one is fine. But I am not sure your issue is the driveshaft.

There would be play somewhere else

I’m going to take the rear apart this weekend and check the diff. After looking around i think that may be the problem. It was a progressive thing over a few weeks originally only noticeable if i was in too low of a gear.
