This was waiting for me inside a customers new hot tub she had replaced under warranty....I dont think it was installed long enough for one to be in there already. Needless to say I remover the access panel and BAM there it was. I was surprised to say the least. I havent actually seen a black widow in a very long time. Probably 25 years or so when i was a kid

About 3 months ago moving our office to the new one, I was loading my laptop into my old computer bag. Felt a slight tickle on my hand and at first appeared to be the power cord. As I went to grab it I seen it quickly run across my hand... I have never swatted my hands so fast in my life. He didn't live much longer after that

Looks like she is ready to party!

I had never encountered a black widow, up until recently. Was walking the pooch and as I went by the mailbox, noticed something got the dog’s attention. I stopped to look and BAM! Black widow hanging out.

But was it a black widow?

But was it a black widow?

It sure was. Used to get them bad at that shop but only in the shop itself. Never once seen one in the office. Pretty sure I heard my heart and stomach fall through the floor during that little escapade

If you spray a Black Widow with Wasp and Hornet killer, it will not bother the spider. It will be pissed that it's wet, but that's all.

Brake cleaner on the other hand takes them out immediately.

They also have fragile bodies and squash easily.

Haha, I see at least 2 a week. It's always a spider party in RSM. Plus my house backs to woods, so there's always spiders hanging out. Black widows are very common, I always do a scan of our patio before my kid or dog head out. I guess the spider population is why I don't see any SVTP members in RSM?

A coworker's daughter got bit by one a few weeks ago. I forget exactly what happened but she was in the hospital for a minute, in addition to the usual bad stuff with black widow bite, she had a separate allergic reaction to it.

Nah, you don't see SVTP members in CA because it's a liberal cesspool. That's even worse than the spider population.

There’s tons of black widows here in California and many many more types of spiders. Unfortunately I run across them allllllll the time here. They usually don’t survive after meeting me, usually. We even have brown widows here, and some funky radioactive looking neon green spiders.
