Nice runs , E63 runs hard for a tune only car. LT4 cars suck big time in hot weather . You added power with ported blower and throttle body but lost 5mph trap speed . That's some serious blower heat issue

Yes, I am also going to have my trans tune looked at as well before I go again. Could just be the heat though. Realistically the car should be near 140 with current mods. Im not disappointed or anything, just want to make sure it runs to its potential.

Well, that also tends to happen when the weather goes up 44* F.
That's exactly what I said , LT4 cars perform very poor in hot conditions . Loosing 6-7mph in 44*F temp swing is huge . I have never seen more then 3mph trap difference in my GTR and I've had around 300 1/4 passes in temp reaching from 45-95*F

No. That’s not “exactly” what you said. You focused the reduction in mph solely on the car and not the weather. 44* is HUGE and will impact mph immensely.

GTRs are known for their consistency and efficiency. Not all cars work the same.

Another thing that you dismiss is that a car can often have traps speeds range by several mph on same day.

I guarantee you that once op gets a change to go back on a day with 44* weather and better DA, he will surpass the original trap speed you quoted.

No sure what part you don't understand here . I guess you can't read either . That's what I said '' LT4 cars suck big time in hot weather '' .Does weather and DA has an impact on the car ? hell yea it does but that shitty small 1.7 blower has as much impact as the weather

I have done plenty runs against C7Zs and also have friends with them . You don't need to tell me your virtual internet experience with them . I'll stick to my statement ,great cars but run very poorly in hot weather compering to other cars out there .

Oh damn, my bad... didn’t know you were the forum’s foremost authority on C7Zs!

I guess you don’t have much experience with other supercharged cars? Is not just C7Zs, it is basically any and all supercharged cars, they SUCK in HOT weather. C7Zs, Cobras, Shelby’s, ZL1s, etc.

True and I am a big fan of the GTR but we are comparing apples to oranges. My good friend runs low 9's in his GTR and he told me he has invested over 70k with mods and updating the trans. I got about 4500 invested in my Z with mods and can most likely get a high 9 second pass once the weather breaks. GTR's are great cars but cost a small fortune to mod.

I have seen 3-5mph difference with nearly the same weather just by switching tracks. Great Lakes is a track known to have lower trap speeds...about 100 miles away we have Byron dragway and most of my friends claim they always trap 2-4mph faster at Byron with similar weather conditions. At the end of the day they are so many variables for this that it will make your head spin.

I don’t think our buddy, go fast will understand said variables. Something tells me he has a small woman brain. Lol

I have more then you do , I go and run my cars at the tracks and street all the time vs you that internet races alot lately . Had 03 Cobra before , GT500 , Whipple supercharged Coyote . They all heat soak in hot weather but not as much as LT4 cars

I've run at most of the Midwest track Byron , GLD , US41 , US131 ,RT66 , Milan . There was no 3-5 mph difference in any of them

Just stick with your internet racing , you're good at it or go out there and do some actual racing . Come back when you have some actual track experience besides making few Highway rolls . I bet I have more 1/4 mile , 1/2 mile passes then you have hair on your head LOL
