03 mach1 here with 466 rwhp. had s.c. on since late april. I've been in the boost alot. And had no problems yet. Met a guy at the woodward dream cruise running 520 rwhp on a stock motor for over a year. I think it depends how its driven and what kind of power adder you use. turbos seem a little softer and twin screws seem a little harsher on the motor.

Mine lasted 3 weeks and broke two pistons only running 5psi, 390 hp. So you're taking a chance and it is not cheap to rebuild these motors.

so if you wanted to get more power from a 99 cobra.. would u just pull the block out and rebuild it from scratch to not only pack on horsepower, but for it to be strong?

This is a very tricky question!!

It can go different way's. First off get the cooling mod that is where i had my problem. However I was running a ported eaton on 14psi pulleys, and fully bolt-oned, On a stock 99 cobra internal's for sometime. But some people dont last to 400whp, Some people get 450 w/o problem's. All in the tune, condition of th motor, ect...

What tune did you use?
