I’m going to pull the trigger this week on GForce axles. My car makes 655rwhp on my race tune. Do I need outlaw axles good for 1200+ or will the renegades good for 850+ be enough? Just a street car with the odd roll race and maybe 1 track day a year. Irs is fully built with MM bushing kit, tru trac etc.

Hmmm, have you broken many half shafts? If so, have you needed up your suspension and controlled the wheel hop? I'm just curious.

Half shafts are always one of those things. There are guys running 9s every weekend on stock half shafts for years and then there are guys bone stock that brake them going to get dinner. Then there are guys breaking the aftermarket ones. I think it's tire/suspension setup and driver mod.

I think the best answer would be what ever you feel like spending money on. For what you posted you do with the car and the power you make you should not be breaking half shafts.

Have zero interest in drag racing, but added the axles on my car since they are an improvement over stock. Well worth it no matter how you drive, and if you buy them, upgrade the retaining nuts.

Lots of info-----> Suspension

I broke every after market half shaft at ~550 hp and soft wall slicks. The last straw was when I broke one in the burnout box.
Honestly just use the stock ones. They're cheaper.
Just my .02

I'm running the Lv5 (1200HP?) ones and I believe they have lifetime warranty on the shafts. One selling point to me was that warranty.

Am planning to do some pretty regular track time couple times a month and I didn't want to have to hold my breathe every-time at the track that I might need a flatbed home.

So far so good with them. I got the early model group buy that disconnects the ABS in the rear when they were first released to the 03/04's.
I hopped bad once at the track a couple months ago on street 888's and stayed in it like an idiot, but they held up fine. car is making 800+whp

I didn't even bother finding out if it was covered under warranty, I was so disgusted that I just put stock ones back in and built an SRA and never looked back. If I didn't track my car at all I would possibly consider it but honestly idk if I could justify it. The only thing that makes me possibly say ok is all the corvette guys that run the upgraded half shafts don't seem to have too many issues but I know the don't use dss

Read the link I posted - it's all in there. They add a basic non-locking nut. For a few $$$, it's easy to acquire an upgraded version that will not come loose.

Yea i run their outlaw half shafts. I have yet to really test them but the car doesn't ever wheel hop.

Now i am worried about the supplied nut after reading this even though we torqued the crap out of them .

Picture of them on my ig: _5kyn3t_

I'm glad to see guys are using these. I lent them the IRS from my 04 to help develop these. Guys that did it is a friend of mine. I ended up going SRA so I didn't get a set to run. GFORCE makes great products and they stand behind their products.
