Compared to this forum the other 2 I’m on are so lifeless it’s sometimes 2 days between posts on the timeline. Even though I’m not an SVT owner and probably won’t be for a very long time, if ever, I quite enjoy this forum. I will say I’d be all over a 99 Cobra Electric Cobra with the tan interior option or if I could obtain (dreaming at the moment) a 00R or the “perfect to me” 94 Cobra. Anyway this forum as a whole is enjoyable. There are those that seem to thrive on conflict or enjoy stirring the pot; which other members are good at getting them to go on vacation. I enjoy the discussions about other cars besides Ford’s that seem to be new daily created threads on that subject alone. I also agree that Facebook has steered many away from the forums. I’m 25 and I haven’t been on Facebook since the Coyote came out. I’ve been pressured by family, friends, and club members to join again; not interested in returning. Ever. This as Facebook as I’ll ever get. The drama here is avoidable and thankfully the nonsense is dealt with very quickly. I hope forums will return to the a norm among enthusiasts like it used to be.

I'm surprised to read that yer only 25...you act much more mature than that.

Life now at 35 has somewhat gotten in the way of doing car stuff so I don't visit this subforum as much. With a new baby, house, boat, etc I don't have as much time to dedicate to the hobby.

Also, I have pushed the limit of my stock shortblock at 456 rwhp. I can't justify the money rebuilding a healthy engine.

I don't get into racing much - couple times at the strip and an auto-x event or 2 but that's about it so I haven't broke much on my car to need to come here for advice on repairs and/or upgrades

Without getting into a several pages long essay; I’d venture to say that might be caused by the slightly unhealthy amount of self-reflection I’ve done.
Incredibly vague summary but in an effort to not completely derail the thread or bore the other members; we’ll keep it at that.

Ahhhh Facebook.....been so great throughout all my Military deployments in keeping up with family and friends. I still enjoy much of it but wonder if it's more harmful that good at this point.

Life, money for other hobbies, work, getting my master's degree and the fact that my "casa" over here is not conducive at all to doing anything meaningful on my car=I don't post a lot. However, I've been on forums since the late 90s when IGN was the big forum to be on and the corral was just getting started. It used to be super busy on those forums, its dead now in comparison and I'd say 100x more people have internet access in 2019 than they did in 1999.

Facebook kills forums but I do agree that the more and more FB just becomes an ad whoring social media page where you can't make a post without a troll, bot or drunk uncle commenting... people will hopefully come back to forums.

Also with the younger generations... they don't have access to cars that are as easy to work on anymore and the rate its going we are going to start seeing more and more dedicated electrics and legal inability to modify vehicles much less just mechanical/user ability.

I’ve been lurking around more and more on this forum. I’m actually thinking about buying an 01 true blue Cobra in the next year or two and make it a handling monster with some nice NA power. I’ve been reading a lot of threads on mods just to get an idea where to start.

I’ve got a note on my phone with the mods I plan to do lol. I’ve got to finish my Terminator before I pick one up tho.
