Still can’t believe Toyota did the Supra like that... Mofos went full gender fluid with this new iteration.

I'm not a huge fan of the Supra, but I think people on this forum are strictly 1 dimensional. Not everyone buys a car with the intent of making 1 million horsepower, and more power rarely proportionally translates to faster times around backroads, road course, handling tracks, etc... The Supra is meant to be "balanced," but I'll reserve final judgement until we really see some good reviews of one.

Thats all stuff I agree with but I think the point they were making is the price comparison. The supra makes literally no sense for 55k

I think the BMW Z4 is a good car...Dressing one up in drag and calling it a Supra does not make it one. I am sure they will sell because of the nameplate, but Toyota really missed the mark and the opportunity to give us another icon like the MKIV.

Not saying the Supra is a bad car. Definitely a cute car. Plenty of fellas out there that enjoy soy lattes and their uggs. All I’m saying is that Toyota could have done much better by the legend that is Supra. Nothing wrong with a bisexual ride. I’m not judging. Just don’t try to pass it for the “new” Supra. Don’t piss on me and tell me it’s raining for Christ’s sake!

Don't & never did care about the " next " GT500.
Sold the 11 because both cars weren't being driven.

It's not like Toyota is hard up for cash or lacks RWD powertrains, platforms, transmissions, etc.

They took the lazy way out. Basically tuned a Z4 and tossed on a body kit.

I don't understand why Toyota didn't use the RCF platform with its killer 10spd.

Strip all the luxury out of it, reskin it and drop a TT-V6 based on the 3.5L into the car. This would have followed past Supra logic with the cross platform use found in the Toyota Soarer / Lexus SC300/400/430 and GS300/400/350/430.

Another option was stretching the GT86 chasis and shoving a bigger engine in it and nicer interior.

Something we can agree on. The new Supra is nothing more than a rebadged BMW.

Real unbiased thoughts on the C8.

It is a bargain if it truly meets its performance numbers or even close.

For those that can drive that layout it will be a retardedly fun track car.

Ford needs to rethink a lot as regardless of the Mustang and Corvette being in a different class the price changes the game.

Where I get hung up is that Corvette has always had a cheap ass interior look and feel. Like a new Focus is on the same level.

The car is ugly. I am not a fan of Ferrari or Camaros and this is the love bastard child of an alcohol and drug filled trip to the Bahamas.

The C7 looks better.

I imagine with the Corvette road course an hour away that I will see a lot of these. The wreck videos are going to be golden.

Supra will be a swap car. Tanks in value, and within a year there will be an LT4/2JZ under the hood of one

C8 is going to change the game as soon as mods come out and they hit the streets. No ADM will help them sell like potatos

Ford dealerships will still have 2018 GT350's with 20k ADM and advertise it as a "Steal of a deal"..... in 2020.

GT500 will come out, and disappear pretty quickly into garages, collections, and sit in show rooms thanks to crazy ADM. AKA it's the trinity car all over again.

Here's what everyone is forgetting. The current Corvette Gran Sport C7 is 460hp and $65,000.

So out of the gate we have a 30hp gain and a $5,000 price reduction while at the very least gaining exotic status looks and powertrain layout.

I have no doubt, at the very least, this car will match C7 performance. So even it makes ZERO performance gains, it's still cheaper and more exotic.

There is a almost zero risk here.

So in 2023 Dodge will drop a 426 S/C that makes 900hp like they did with the Hellcat in 2015?
