Hey guys,

I thought I'd share a few pictures of my new ride, some might remember it. It was posted on svtp last November.

I bought this from a member "oldstv" back in May. I'm really happy with it so far. I've been wrenching on it some, just stuff that wears out and needs replacing.

It's a 90, originally a Florida state trooper ssp car. It's got a true blue paint job.

It's got a mild 306 with h/c/i. 5 spd with a 03-04 cobra irs. Also has cobra seats.

What's up Bdubbs how's she treating you? Mine has been a money pit I say I'm not doing anything else but I just left it at the shop to do a whole new ac system and I just ordered some ccw's today so it's just another money pit.

Hey man! Yeah mines another money pit as well. I replaced tie rods, harmonic balancer, plugs, wires, and ordered up some stage 8 locking header bolts. The motor mounts look shot so I also have a new set of energy suspension ones.

I just can't leave anything alone. :(

I've been buried in my own '90 coupe build for the past year and am really enjoying it. Like a domino effect, once you change one thing everything else has to change as well and it never ends.

Looks great mine. I actually drove mine the other day what I thought was going to be the last time due to selling it. Of course it left me stranded the only time innlike 5 years.’do yourself a favor and buy a TFI relocation kit now and get it out of the way. Mine is also a 90 coupe.

Isn't that the truth! What are you all doing to yours?

What relocation TFI kit are you talking about? Mine looks to be pretty old.

Gutted the car. Built the engine this past winter in the garage. 9:1, Performer RPM heads, AirGap intake, Holley 650 vacuum secondary carb, MSD distributor and Digital 6AL box, FRPP roller rockers, E303 cam, FRPP stainless shorties, Bassani stainless X-pipe, Walker Dynomax stainless mufflers/tailpipes, FRPP deep sump pan, Contour fan setup, Fluidyne radiator. To clean things up in the engine bay I welded in Scott Rod inner fender panels.

Trans is a TR3550, MGW shifter, FRPP billet flywheel/clutch, Lakewood bellhousing, MM clutch cable/quadrant /firewall adjuster, Quarter Master driveshaft, 8.8" has a Torsen T2R, FRPP 3.55's, and Superior 31 spline axles.

Suspension is an MM K-member, MM forward offset A arms, MM Race2 Bilsteins with coilovers at each corner using Hypercoil springs, MM C/C plates, MM panhard bar, MM torque arm, MM rear adjustable sway bar, MM tubular road race rear lower control arms, MM full length subframe connectors, '00R front Brembos, 2 piece front rotors, FRPP M2300K kit rear calipers, XXR 531 18 x 11" wheels both front and back, 295/30/18's front, 315/30/18's out back, Tiger Racing carbon fiber flares all around (still have to do the front flares).

Long way to go with body work and interior that will start once I get the engine and front suspension sorted out. I have boxes of fuel injection parts that I'll never use again from intakes to harnesses, etc. I plumbed in a new tank with a custom pickup and big bore vent (no more charcoal canister, etc). I bent my own fuel lines and ran them on the driver side to mate with an Edelbrock mechanical fuel pump with a short run of PTFE fuel line. Mostly AN fittings. Stainless brakelines completely replaced the originals from front to back with braided hoses at each caliper.

I was where you are now back in 2003. I ran the car with some mild mods for a few years then bought a GT500 followed by a GT350. The car sat in my shop in the corner. This time around I wanted a simple, clean ride without any emissions garbage and complete control over the way the car is tuned. Yanking all the bullshit off the car and welding holes up can be very liberating. It is taking me forever but I break it down into small goals for each day. Keeps me out of trouble.:)

’do yourself a favor and buy a TFI relocation kit now and get it out of the way. Mine is also a 90 coupe.

I used to keep a backup distributor in the trunk with a distributor wrench in the same box. Five minutes and I was back down the road and it was as fast as trying to change the module. i had enough of that nonsense and shitcanned all of it.

Come on man now you gotta post a pic of it.

OK. I've been working on the engine bay wiring so here's a recent one...

Full caveman. Nothing beats tuning with a screwdriver, a vacuum gauge, and a timing light. :)
