I went back to finish my bachelors in meteorology in my late twenties and am halfway through my masters now.
I'd like to think I'm at the lowest point of Discouragingly Realistic making the up turn but I'm still accelerating (and not because of change of direction)
I achieved the rank of Master Chief, so arrogance went along with the mastery of my field.
Chart is whack. There's no such thing as knowing everything you don't know. Therefore, you can never achieve "discouragingly realistic" much less mastery.
Just enjoy learning new things. Then, where you are doesn't matter.

But what little I do know has gotten me this far, & there are far more " WELL EDUCATED " people, that know less than I do !!

It's ironic but I find this chart relevant to many things, especially politics.
99% of the elected officials are naively confident. Any person that is master level, and understands everything, is smart enough to know not to take elected office. So we end up with idiots running our country, intelligent people taking advantage of their poorly planned systems and profiting, and the lay people spinning in circles.
It's the definition of Idiocracy.

Yeah man, still rockin and rollin and a bon vivant, man about town, lover of life and friends of many. lol
I could never run for office. Too many Navy-related skeletons. Oh, and I tend to speak my mind.....
I can relate to the Navy skeletons. The sea stories get crazy, as the years go by. Even I can't believe I did all that shit.
