I just bought a set of 17x4.5 front weld RTS runners. I don’t want to change the front brakes I heard I could put longer studs and use wheel spacers? Few guys told me it will work some said I have to change the front brakes.

Wheel spacers are a non-issue on a axle that isn't driven. On a drive axle, you'd want to keep that spacer to a minimum.

Correct.
2 suggestions, tape up the front calipers during trial fitment and don’t launch with drag radials and wheel spacers.
Please let us know if they require spacers as previous 17” Welds did. 18” Darkstars did not.
Also Boss302S/FRPP front hubs came with 3” ARP studs.

I wouldn't worry about running wheel spaces in the front and if you go thicker than 1/4" of spaces make sure to get longer 3" studs.

Those are nice.
Just don’t launch on rear wheel spacers even with ARP studs. Trust me.

Launched many times, no issues. Never heard of any issues with guys launching on spacers. Now, I could see tire shake/bounce and wheels not torqued properly being an issue. Optimal still running the right rim, but using a spacer means you are usually running a smaller width tire.
