I think what everybody is overlooking is the price of the C8. Add 20k to it for a zO6 and it I’ll still be a better bargain the the overpriced Shelby, not even including the BS adm’s the the greedy dealers are wanting. I looked at. Gt350 at my local dealership yesterday and they wanted 20k over Msrp. The greed is going to bring them down when there’s so many other options now

Hansel Ford? They still want $20k for their 19 350’s...

Corvette= 2 seats still

ford has 4

ford can sell to larger market

ford will sell more....

which is "better" depends what you define as better

Ford to me is after the dodge market, which it will get.....

You’re comparing a Corvette to the entire line of Mustangs that start in the 20’s? Well yea. No shit Ford will sell more units. Chevy will sell a shit ton more $60k + Vettes than Ford will sell $60k + Mustangs.

Between the Camaro/Vette im pretty sure Chevy will outsell the Mustang.

The 4 seat thing gives Ford little leverage, especially when talking the higher trim level performance mustangs. No one is buying the GT/GT500 for it’s spacious backseat to go on family vacations.

The rear seat is also not scoring any points with insurance companies.

You do realize Ford won’t sell more cause Chevy will make 10x more Vettes than Fords limited production Shelby. You guys have no idea how insane this car is, the Vette I mean. Just wait to people drive it. I’ve spoken to two people that have and in base form they say it’s insanity.

sooo no, you cant tell me all the specs im after? jesus, the retardness of forums these days

Trust me the C8 will lap faster than the 500. You will be shocked when the times are released.

Also give credit where credit is due. Ford has people ordering a car and has given next to no info on it. Lame.

I'm one of the Ford fans that will seriously consider the C8 over the GT350/GT500.
Ive been waiting 16 years for a car to pull me out of my 03 Cobra. GT350/500 were getting VERY close. Have visited the dealerships, came away feeling like I was about to get ass-raped on price for one.

This C8...a whole different ball game now. The reason for the hate, I believe, is because for the price, it looks to better then the GT350 in almost every way. back seats? gimme a break, the back seats in Mustangs have been a joke forever.

I for one am VERY glad there is something the competes VERY well in this category ($60k sports car market). Good times indeed.

You must have skipped my posts about $1,000 over invoice for a 2020 GT350 spec'd to your liking.

Very few people cross shop Mustangs and Corvettes. When they do, typically they're cross shopping the current MY Mustang and the previous gen high performance Corvette.

$1000? I haven't seen any 2019 GT350's locally without at LEAST a $5k addendum. The GT350R I looked at had a $20k addendum. Took it to $92k.

I know I can get one for close to MSRP. BUT, if that C8 Stingray with Z51 pkg can be had for $65k, well, that's VERY tempting.

I'm not touching a GT350R for $65k, 2019 or 2020.

I wouldn't say no one... albeit I know I'm in the minority.

I bought my GT500 3.5 years before we had our boy, but I had kids in mind. I could not get a fun car that didn't have the provisions for him to ride along. Not just for vacations (2 Shelbyfest trips) either, as I pick him up from daycare often in it and we love to take it to church sunny Sundays. There was a stretch when he was rear facing in a convertible seat that it didn't fit. However, he's now nice and snug back there.

Again, I know I'm not the norm when it comes to this, but I'm sure there's other dads out there in the same situation.

Fords Marketing Director stepping down?

Your right! Because GM will build more Corvette’s than they can sell and in ten months from now take 12k off MSRP Ford builds a small amount of vehicles and the dealers mark them up! A year later the Dealers still want 5k over MSRP Look how many GT350’s are still for sale! Brand New....
Bingo

Omg were not gonna add 2 separate vehicles in order to try and win your argument. If were gonna play that game the F150 out sells gm entire car line as a whole.

Yup!
5 kids and all of them grew up going for rides in the back of the cobras... used to have 2 booster seats in mine lol.

The seats are small, but I can put them back there until about 14 y.o.

Cant do it with a 2 seater so yeah it's a decision point for some
