So it looks like my new MGW/BF bracket setup with the mod that I did to them to make it work has limitations. Was out driving the car this morning and tried a deadstop WOT 7000rpm 1-2 shift and didn't hit it.

It didn't grind but there was a "slight" lockout condition when I went for 2nd so it wasn't a smooth shift from 1st into 2nd like the other times when I did those 6500rpm hits. It was almost like a slight "delay" if you can call it that and it prevented the shift into 2nd but after whatever that was it did go into the gear without any grinding or weird stuff.

I did a loop and tried it again but this time shifted at 6000rpm and it was fine, so I guess if you do your 1-2 shift between 6000-6500rpms you should be good. There's really no need to take it to 7k anyways so I'm happy with that.

Seeing that my car is now FS I will not be taking it to the track for a real test, after my new car is broken in I'd rather take it to the strip to test (will probably be next year though).

I bet the 7000rpm 1-2 shift delay was just a little to much gear turning speed and the synco just barely couldn’t keep up. While the 6500rpm 1-2 shift kept the gear tuning speed low enough the synco was able to keep up.
