No, but I have zero desire to look when it's a simple yes or no answer. I know what's up, and that's my point for others reading this.

Oh, I understand..

Still might be a possibility of a verbal creampie lol so I'm just gonna wait...

Here you go, fam.

Calm down chevy nut swingers, this is a "base" C8 vette which has no aggressive look compared to the new GT500. Yes it will run sub 3s 0-60 due to its weight advantage. But once past that the power of the GT500 will real it in and should have no issues handling it. I see 10.6-10.8s for the GT500 and 11.3-11.5 for the Stingray. Once that Z06 C8 comes out then that is something to talk about. Until then the Shelby will handle this car no issues.

Boo hoo, it's not the typical hive-mind commentary that is normally on here. Exposure to other ways of thought is painful huh?

Wait, getting behind a GM product is the typical hive-mind commentary on this site? LOL ok.

The c8 is nice and with good performance, but it is in no way revolutionary.

The base won’t come close to c7z06 performance, I expect the c8gs to do that probably at closer to $70k. And then the c8z to be faster still at over $80k.

At 495hp and 3600lbs it has the power to weight less than the 11 GT500. This is 9 years later...

As far as the copied nsx drivetrain from the 90’s....

I will give credit, the truck leaf springs are gone. Revolutionary!

I seem to recall everyone on this site (including myself) poopooing the GTR when it came out saying no way it'd run what it was supposed to run because of its power to weight. We were wrong. It's not just about power to weight it's the whole package.

I think the C8 will slot somewhere between the current and older GTR, bottom 11's in good conditions. Not bad for a $60K base model.

Eh I wouldn’t be so sure of that, the Ram is really picking up a lot of people that were other wise shopping the likes of ford, Toyota and Chevy.

16k miles into my ram and I haven’t missed my previous tundras, or f150s. That said I’d gladly cross shop both again when I need another truck. Being a brand loyalist these days is just missing out on other great vehicles.

My '19 Ram is the best truck I've owned and I thought I'd never own a Ram again. The interface has been flawless and the 12" screen is a nice bonus. That said, like you, I'll gladly cross shop all brands when it's time to buy again. Except Honda. **** that shit.

I'm skeptical on the 60k claim. Gm will prob take a lot of short cuts to get it that cheap. It might even be a POS if you think about it. Every car mfr has upped their game. I believe gm has with the c8, but that price is too low and we'll see where gm took a short cut.
Excited for the c8 z06. Hell excited to for the c7zr1 to go down in price... lol

Wait a second... I just saw a higher resolution interior pic of the C8. Who the hell designed that row of buttons on the center console? Holy inefficient layout...

Bench racing lol? The OP started this shit show, and it will be truth once both cars are out on the street. So no more bench racing needed.

For the record the OP is universally disliked here. However he ain’t exactly wrong on the C8. Performance per the dollar it’s untouchable if that 60K base holds true.

Hmmm.... every C6Z that I have seen on the scales was 3200+

My c5z was 3150ish....
Just texted my bros friend who had a c5z in its glory day, weighed with a full tank, 3073lbs. A 31×× lbs c5z must have had a sound system. I remember the cars being super light and a modern car comparable to it in terms of weight and power is the Porsche gt4. 3000lbs or less, around 400hp.

Definitely remember that. C6Z shat all over the FGT.
Lol, the c6z is a stellar performer. But we know which is the better car to have in the garage.

I don't hate the guy. Like I said in another thread, he's like the spaz in school that pisses in his own pants and thinks everyone is laughing with him.

If he magically showed up in my house, first thing I'd do is wacky-glue my ass shut for insurance purposes. Then I might offer him a beer and talk about retro video games and general trolling practices.

Take a look at the discounts that you have always been able to find on vette’s. Everyone is quick to say that no one wants that car, so they have to give them away. It’s all part of their marketing and sales strategy. The buyers drive off thinking they just stole the car, while GM is laughing all the way to the bank.

That is a good indicator that there is a lot of meat on the bone to make money on the car. They look to be taking a page out of Porsche’s playbook. Get you in the door, and let you option the hell out of it.

A mid engine car isn’t really anymore expensive to design and build than a front. GM has massive scale to leverage as well. Can you imagine the deal Tremec gives them when they place an order for 100,000 DCT’s over the next 4 yrs?
