it was never ment to score.

No, the mustang isnt the all out performer, it's too much to ask from Ford anymore. What can you get from Ford that is an all out performer? Nothing, because they sold that to 1,000 of their buddies or social media stars.
The fact is Ford doesnt offer something like this C8, so there we have it, if they did and they allocated the cars more fair so one could pick one up for MSRP, then we would have a competition. Right now there isnt one and it seems Ford is going to lose sales. Sure they will sell all they make of this GT500, but the fact is I'm not buying one and I was a buyer. That frees up another allocation. it loosens the demand some. Really what hurts Ford is that if I like this Corvette, I'll end up buying more GM products. in 2017 I bought 230K in fords, in a couple years ill do the same and it will probably be 250K in cars. Bottom line, its not good for Ford... especially when several people like me choose to do the same thing.
I wish Ford luck!

$230k of Ford's in one year is like spending $500 at taco bell in one order.

not at my post...
They should have stopped with the exclusivity bullshit and produced as many FGT's as they could take orders for. The more you build the lower the cost goes right?

FGT is a special car but when your car is as dominant, get it into as many hands as you can.

Still waiting for a TT Coyote swapped example BTW

I wish Ford had built more of them as well. Though Ford does not even build the FGT, multimatic does, so that’s part of the problem in turning them out in volume. Ford never had any intentions or desire to build them in volume. Had something like the FGT been built in volume they could have driven the cost down considerably, though it would still be an expensive super car as Ford really made no compromises in developing that car.

Much more to come with this C8 Corvette! I also think you will see the 19 ZR1 engine in the Camaro before It’s gone.... Only makes sense with some extra engines around!
Yea for sure, for me im a track rat and all the extra HP does is cost more in brakes and tires so the GS is the perfect package. I honestly cant wait to see what they'll look like

Yea I know, thats my point. Chevy builds enough cars to meet that demand. If there was as few corvettes as there was shelbys the ADMs would be crazy as well. The other guy was saying because theres a demand... Well sure, there is a higher demand for a car that there are less of. As a consumer, id rather be able to buy the car I want without all these retarded loopholes and ADMs. I dont give two shits about who notices me in my rare car. I want cars that perform for the money. Ive owned a rare look at me car and frankly nobody cares. Im having 10x more fun racing "junk" on the race track anyway. There hasnt been a street car that made me even consider getting back into that scene until now.
The long BS experience I had getting my Raptor really turned me off to Ford. I don’t know how many dealers I called to find one that had an allocation that would net a carbon fiber, bead lock, ruby red truck at MSRP. If it wasn’t the ADM, it was the carbon fiber and wheels that held up the order...”our regional rep says we have an allocation ready to build, just not with carbon fiber or bead locks”, over and over this went. Until finally I found a dealer that could order the truck...or so I thought. Almost 15 months later, placing orders at 3 different dealerships I finally got my truck. Ford had me sitting in a ZL1, contemplating buying one in that time frame. Good thing I held out, as I love my truck. But I came damn close to jumping ship on Ford. I will never put myself through that shit again.

Congrats with your Raptor! I was also looking for one that exact same color But with the Dealer BS I drove into a GMC and bought a Brand New 18 Sierra For 12k off Sticker!

Multimatic and the suppliers they use don't have the capacity to do that.

For the love of God, people please... Let's come up with an abbreviation for the Ford GT that doesn't get OP all excited and tingly at the thought.

For the record, I think the C8 is absolutely gorgeous. Not sure what GM is going to find as design flaws when they start rolling these out given the drastic design change, but based on known facts, I think it's an absolute beast for the money.

Hmmm.... every C6Z that I have seen on the scales was 3200+

My c5z was 3150ish....

Mine was 3050 with long tube headers. I don't believe headers save more than 50lbs.

Oh look....how cute. It's another iteration of GM's wanna-be supercar.

Funny, the corvette Z06 has always been legit competition for the supercars of the same era.

The c8 pushes the other manufacturers to do more, which is a good thing. If there were no competition, we would be lucky to have a 300hp car. I'm not into corvettes and don't see myself ever buying one. I'm also more into brands where I don't cheer for the chevy to win the nascar race unless it is to beat the toyota.

I would rather have the brand of car I like and build it up to beat the new higher hp brand X car then sell it to buy the new car. Some people will jump brand to brand to have the newest thing and there is nothing wrong with that either if it makes you happy

The Ford Ranger starts out around 27k but at the local dealer I could not find one under 42k and even saw some over 50k! How is it even possible to have more money in options then what the base price is?

Not sure what options the c8 will have but I'm wondering will you see a 60k c8 on the lot? Thinking most will be optioned up 10k..20k...30k...more?

Lots of people will comment on how they want a c8 but really how many can afford one?

I would love a new Hellcat but I know it is more then what I really could afford

It's good that GM came out with this car . it should cool off bunch of those greedy dealers that are asking crazy ADMs for GT500
My local dealer is asking $92k for a GT-350 (not an R) last year. I sent a picture to a buddy of mine that paid MSRP for his and he couldn't believe it. I hate to think what they want for a GT-500

I hate to ever admit GM does anything ok, let alone "well". I have to admit, in the case of the C8, that they have raised the bar.

My hope is that Ford will rise to the occasion and develop a car to battle in the segment that Chevrolet owns and that Dodge recently vacated.

Hell, call it a Ford Cobra. Slot the base car just under the GT500 and Top level version under the Ford GT. Win/Win
