I just don't see the Mustang and Corvette as natural market place competitors. Maybe GT500 and Corvette, but that is a tiny slice of the Mustang pie, and I suspect will have zero affect on GT500 sales or ADM.

I agree. I wish ford would build something similar to the corvette and return the mustang to being an affordable, simple muscle/pony car.

ON D BIT making a train of excuses about as bad as the train of buttons on the C8.

There is no denying what the c8 brings to the table. Comparing the C8 to a mustang gt? Lolololol....

Multiple base model GT mustangs starting at $31G's within a couple hundred miles of me. When you factor inflation and capability, not bad. Go one or 2 years used and you are in the 20's.

not at my post...
And a base FGT will lap any track faster than the C8. What's yer point?

How much you wanna bet?

No doubt the FGT is a phenomenal car. In all fairness it should beat a C8 since you could buy about 8 C8s for the price of one FGT. That’s even if Ford will sell you one, pretty much gotta have a million YouTube subscribers to buy the Multimatic FGT.

Whats gonna be really embarrassing is when the Z06 or ZR1 version of this car matches or beats the Multimatic GT.

I know. But the Corvette and the Mustang are in completely different classes...always have been.

I have a hard time aesthetically with this car.

I like it, but I can definitely see where they saved money. They really didn't put a ton of stock in the design of the looks. Its design was largely predicated on aerodynamics and performance. The back end is clearly borrowed from the Camaro. Front end and profile is a template of a 20 year old Ferrari. To me it's sort of bland and old with a poor choice of tail lights.

However, performance wise it's bar-none, and to me just obsoleted the GT500 before it even hit the market. I've been over Ford after my 2018 Gen 3 5.0 used 3 quarts of oil in an oil change period. Then they killed off a lot of ST cars, obsoleted the SHO, made PP GT cars 5-10k more expensive than the 15-17's, and somehow expect me not to go to a chevy dealership?

I don't think Ford has much on the table anymore outside of trucks and certain SUV/CUV. I barely see 18+ GT's, but I see a crap ton of 15-17 GT's. Speaks volumes.

hahahahah! I'm more bias to Ford but when the Z06 is released and gets the kinks ironed out, this will me my new car.
The interior isnt my cup of tea, but the rest looks fantastic. The learn setting for suspension is ultra cool, waypoints for raising the front end a few inches, HD camera, the weight where it should be, V8, Twin turbos coming....So what if it's a little more weight than the c7, they nailed this car. It will sell extremely well and I'll be in line to get one. applause Bravo, Bravo!!

Definitely different classes, yet folks loyal to both brands constantly compare them, though mustang guys seem to have the bigger chip on their shoulder.
Agreed 100%. I think the ZL1 1LE and Demon are phenomenal cars, if only they weren't so ****in' ugly.

I've always gotten a kick out of people comparing cars of different classes and then talking about price differences etc. Compare apple to apples and then do it at the track. Bench racing is dumb but allows a certain ****** a reason to troll and supplies him with endless fapping material.

If I were a manlet the c8 would be what I wanted but I doubt I could fit. Couldn’t in the c7.

This car is a game changer and Chevy just hit a home run. If you can’t see that then maybe you should pull fords **** out of your ass.

There was a chowda head that moved down after retirement to the island I used to work on. His nickname was captain coe.

If you and him aren't one in the same, I would be shocked.
