Ok so it has been a long time since I needed a tune for any of my vehicles. I finally got the Bullit running and was about to start driving it as a DD and park the Shelby. I recently deleted the cats and did an xpipe because the original setup was clogged. I bought the mil eliminators, but now the car throws about 6 codes all dealing with emissions. The car has an original sct tuner that had a dyno tune for cams and 93 tune. The problem is that the guy I got it from said they were stage 2 cams but I cannot confirm the numbers, as they dont match with any comp cams I have found. Long story I know but can anyone tune this thing without going to a dyno. I am not trying to spend 500 to tune my new DD. I called LUND/BAMA etc. and they no longer tune for cat deletes.

Your cheapest option is to order yourself a moates quarterhorse $250. You'll need a moates qh to read out your current tune so you dont have to pay to retune it. SCT doesnt have the ability to read out your current tune but tunerpro with the moates qh does.

The catch is, unless your tuner used cvaf1 (99-01 ecus) or fbgi0 (02-04 ecus) it will cost you +$100 to get your tune converted. So might as well just figure $350

At that point if you feel up to it you can dial in the fuel and spark yourself. Plenty info explaining how it all works.

btw the tuning software is a free download
Getting Started / EFIDynoTuning

Otherwise if you want to do a full custom remote tune with your sct handheld its $450

or you can do a remote tune with the moates qh as well that way you have the tuning software too so youd never be back in this predicament again
