Considering it was brought up due to someone looking into Trumps appointee Alex Acosta and finding that gem, it's not too surprising it made mainstream news.

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/article220097825.html
The article that started it all titled
"How a future Trump Cabinet member gave a serial sex abuser the deal of a lifetime"

Save your breath. Alex throws a million darts in hope that something hits what could be perceived as a bullseye.

He hasn’t realized that Nostradamus was vague enough that eventually his darts would hit something.

I figured. That’s great, I hope you enjoy it, and also plan for the highs and lows of that fields good and bad moments. It’s an industry you can’t bank on smoothly riding through for 25 years. Many highs and lows.

I probably talk for 15-30 minutes at a time with minimum 10 people a month that have at least 5 years in oil (nat gas, mining etc to be honest) outside of anything I see online.

I realize how difficult and pivitol the industry is, I think people in that industry need a plan B income source like flipping cars or handyman work for the bad years/ lay off periods.

What has your experience been like from 06-19, it’s been a wild ride.

I don’t knock people for working in oil and getting surprised by market fluctuation but I do chuckle when they act like managing small business is a walk in the park comparatively.

Working small business is easy, keeping a small business thriving and growing for 30 years during the same choppy markets is not a simple 9-5 unless you are in an easy industry or don’t focus on real service and care.

I don’t worry about the lows.

At the end of the day oil will never completely stop. When oil was $19 a bbl, I was insanely busy because they laid off others.

I’m in an aspect of oil that doesn’t go away. Made sure of that ( post production)

When I was younger.. I lived everywhere. PA, wv, Ca, co, UT, WY, ND, TX, NM. So I learned as much as possible about everything i could. Been on the rigs.. fracked... dispatched.. transport.. pipeline. I try to know as much as possible to be least likely to be laid off.

Is it up and down sure. Bad times are bad good times are great. But most layoffs are either in safety, consultation, or pre production and production. What I’m in now is well is drilled, fracked, and I just transport the oil that is already flowing from the ground.

Though, it’s like being a cop. I LIVE WITH a cop and I know didly shit about being a cop.. so when someone says “ I talk to people about oil so I know the industry” I just laugh.

When we pull oil up, people get paid to do so. When it sells on the market, value is created, when it powers the world, demand sustains the value.

All of this is why our military, cities, industries et al are completely fine using fuel and rightfully weary of any market disrupting tech to otherwise steer that ecosystem

Further proving you know nothing.

Paint, nail polish, millions of products used daily are by products of the oil industry..

People sit here and go “ fuel fuel gas gas oil oil “

Without realizing how much the rest of the world depends on oil other than just in their cars. People think oil is just this black shit that comes out of the ground and gets people rich.

Oil is all gravity based. Comes out black.. comes out clear.. comes out glow in the dark bright green.

Black dark crude oil is what’s worth the least.... It’s just the easiest to transport

When they start storming, an Apache gunship will smoke about 20 of them, the rest will flee and run away.

I'm really curious as to what anyone would do with the information found at area 51, if they were even able to get in.

Confirmation of alien life? Tech beyond anyone's imagination? And then what? You'll still get up every morning, go to work and come home, watch TV, put the kids to bed etc. Life ain't gonna stop no matter what is there. Take off the tinfoil hats and go back to work.

Yeah. That.

You got the wrong guy if you think I’m anti oil and pro global warming.

I work with petroleum, silicon, acid, alkaline, and water based products everyday. You can tell me I know nothing about oil, and you can readily believe it.

I used the word obsolete carelessly, hang on to it as long as you’d like.

We are about to head into a mini ice age on this planet. Global warming is a scam to sap up money and conjure emotion based “thinking” to steal people’s vote in the name of social justice warrior bullshit

I own 0 electric cars, one 1200whp car, one 270whp car and 3 trucks. **** global warming, it’s bullshit.

All I'm gonna say is if you have the time to go and storm a government area that is HIGHLY top secret you deserve to die. Honestly it makes for an interesting day for popcorn and some more moonshine. My sympathy for humanity is dwindling so I have ZERO for these clowns. Let the hunger games begin.

For me it’s because the sun creates the heat. Burning stuff into the atmosphere doesn’t do what they claim it does. It’s -40° a few 10’s thousand feet up. Heat rises. It doesn’t sit low.

actually anything higher then 40000 ft is -67 F so you make a great point. Unless you have a meteor traveling at 25000 mph right at us then Shonver needs to comment on this!
