Thanks for the video. I am sure the car will be a blast. Looking forward to seeing one in person. Not my favorite color but with other color options it should look great imo. Nice to see the car without stripes.

It's all right the z06 has temps of 270+. Those cars are known to overheat and heat soak. Puny blower + inefficient front bumper vents and not enough coolers to cool engine and transmission (a8) down.

Gt500 will probably have 1-2 fast laps but being supercharged will need to cool down. I'm really impressed with how GM kept the weight down on the ZL1 if this new gt500 is over 4000lbs.
Shit, a zl1 would be a nice daily driver.

With the blown cobra coming out 17 years ago and it having heat soak problems, all the GT500's, then the most recent z06 lawsuit for limp mode/over heat, I would hope Ford has enough cooling to prevent limp mode (provided the car is stock). Especially it being a DCT car. To me a DCT is no longer a Mustang/muscle car and more so a track focused car. Keep in mine they also put all the aero on the car. Having that huge wing is only justifiable for track. That combined with DCT, if you can't lap it, there are going to be problems for Ford.

How often are you changing oil? Mine is dirty after two track days but it is an old junkyard motor.

I change every 4 track days with 1500-3000 street miles. I send a sample to Blackstone every time I change it. It's been basically perfect.

I hope it has hard core cooling. I'm happy that I can do 30 minute long sessions and I get tired before the car starts pulling power. I also made the right choice going ZL1 for me personally. I was tired of waiting and probably couldn't justify the cost of the GT500, especially the track pack, with the confirmed ADM.

I'm really hoping the car lives up to everyone's expectations.

Not only did it not seem any faster than the GT350R from a couple years ago, it also didn't seem AS fast as the GT350R. Then again, Vaun Gitten is a drifter, not a driver. Neither car was driven "properly" at their respective events. Ford gives us the best Mustangs they've ever produce, and what do the drivers do? Giant, smokey burnouts instead of showing us what the cars are actually meant to do.

This was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. I will GLADLY stick with my 13 GT500!

I'm pretty sure the idea was to put on a show and not try to set a track record. So anyone disappointed because it wasn't driven like you wanted, hold off on your disappointment until we actually see real results.

Spin it any way you want. This thing is a silly POS.
To top it off, the engineers amazed with The Fast and Furious (slow and stupid) have applied their import taste. Just a huge fail from Ford. I guess I didn't expect much after the megacorporate failure they have turned into. What a POS company now. Glad I don't work there.

Like the presentation or not the 350R is gonna get its ass handed to it.

Did you expect anything else? The gt350 is a sub par car at best. Of course it will get it's ass handed to itself. Ford will lose out on a perfect storm market right now. They are plain stupid.

Which is why they sell out their dealer stock often and GT350Rs still cost 70k+ used? Ford doesn't need your input to move cars

Lol at idiots puffing their chest like oh this was a poor showing thus the car is now deemed inept. Majority of people will never harness the talent to drive a car with in double digit times of a pro on a given track anyway so why use that as your bench mark to buy.

What a time to be alive where we have such viable performance car options, and such the means to gather real info anywhere online and yet you still have so many Monday morning QBs out there lol.

For me, I do not like how Ford has transformed the gt500 into a fast and furious car complete with erector set wing.

You aware that the majority arent going to have that wing and the shitty green color is only an option?
