I purchased one and like the gun but loading 12 gauge ammo into new clips is a pain in the butt! Anyone have one or can offer advice on breaking in the clips and breaking in this firearm- jams with high brass but feeds low brass. I see dent in side of casing when hanging up. If I can get reliability issue under control it will make good close quarters home def gun...

Yes- I could have posted this on AR forum- but I have a lot of respect for the talent on this site! There are Masters of everything imaginable here so that's why I posted

Thanks in advance

not at my post...
Have you tried hitting it with your purse! :D

I’d take it apart and clean it, chances are it’s been cosmolined for storage/shipping etc...that shit gets into every little nook. Regarding the magazines I’d keep loading/unloading them, should work the springs enough that it becomes easier.

Your mom
It is supposed to self adjust between hi and low brass shells.

Honestly sounds like the high brass shells aren't a compatible type. Check with Panzer to see if they have a recommended brand shell.

There is no real break-in on the magazine unless the edges are sharp or there is flash from injection molding. You can use a light file or die grinder to break the edges around the feed lips on the magazine. If there is interference, you can identify it with dykem or other machinist layout fluid or chalk. PMAGs always catch the bolt in my ARAK21, so I relieve the feed lip about 0.020".

As for stripping and entering battery, there's no harm in polishing a feed ramp. Test the loading cycle with some snap caps. Don't use live cartridges unless you're at the range with the barrel pointed down-range- lots of people do, but it doesn't take much of a slip up to blow a hole in your wall or head. Yeah yeah, snap caps aren't "true ammunition" with "true dimensions" but it's a starting point and I've found issues while using them. Make some blanks if you want by pulling primers, emptying powder and re-crimping. Problem with manual testing is that you don't get the same impulses from firing and re-chambering, but it's a start.

You mention a dent- check the extractor mechanism or detail. If it's too proud, that'll cause a FTE/FTL for sure. Feeding low brass though? Compare two cartridges- LB/HB. The differential in brass head height is likely where the problem is- that's only about 0.015". Doesn't take much to drag, but it seems the shorter head is clearing better. Could even be while it is stripping off- catching a burr?

Thank you so much...I've shot all my life with just about everything. I have never seen stronger springs in a mag but being they're pushing up heavy ammo I understand. I now use 1/2 of wood "clothspin" as it's thin and stong to push shell further down mag so one on top will enter easier. The brass lip on the shells was definitely getting caught on shell already in mag. I could have weakened plastic cartridge at range by pushing shell entering mag just above brass. Today is breakdown day to clean and examine... I used Winchester #6 shot and it cycles flawlessly, cheap buckshot did not but all made a hell of a good pattern. I did shoot some of my 30 year old police 2 /34 Remington magnums without issue. Since I just got through with shoulder surgery I will not use 3" shells

I was thinking the same thing. Generally dont like bullpups. Have a friend that was lucky to survive when his Tavor ate its bolt.

Yeet Cannon.

I'm so getting one. Also, despite the horrid aesthetics and bottom barrel pricing, Hi Points are rock solid reliable and very safe.

Diamond Back (the other gheto popper) is known to have feed failures.

Top is the current Generation G1, with limited edition Yeet Cannon laser etching. This can be had today for $169.99.

The other is the new YC-9 coming out this fall. The name Yeet Cannon is what was chosen by internet poll.

I'm disappointed that friggin' Reddit won the naming contest. 4chan had some much better entries. Kinda surprised that some of them got into the finals and were acknowledged by Hi-Point.

We have a HiPoint 380. My wife loves the thing. It's an ugly brick ****-house but it works. In a post-apocalyptic world, only cockroaches, Volvo 2.5T engines, and HiPoints will survive.

I have a C9. It was a gift. I shot it once then broke it down to clean it. I have never shot it since, nor will I.

People at the range make fun of you?

Or did you clean it because you wanted to scrub your prints before tossing it in the river?

I normally run a drill bit down the barrel to take out the rifling and then grind the hammer and extractor. Soak in a bucket of beach and discard as parts.

I am of Sicilian heritage, but no. When I seen how the barrel was glued to the frame I decided to retire it for good but I kept it as a novelty.
