Who has one? What are thoughts on it? Looking to switch from iOS. Used to be a android guy until about 6 years ago. Getting real tired of apples crap and looking to go back.

SORRY! MEANT G8

I have it and it's a fantastic phone. The speakers are not as good as the V40 ang G7 for media consumption but the in screen speaker is downright amazing for calls. You can put your ear anywhere on the screen and it works. The cameras are up there with other flagships but not to Pixel standards but are better than other years by leaps and bounds. Thankfully the gcam ports work (my pictures yesterday in the weekend thread were taken with thr G8 using a gcam port). Juan Bagnell does a deep dive on this phone that is worth checking out.

The headphone jack is still considerably better than any other phone (by a ridiculous margin I might add), it supports aptx-hd bluetooth standards if you want to go wireless. The screen is really good. The recording mics are a step down from the V40 and G7 due to some gain problems. Aftermarket support is nonexistent both by devs and accesory makers. Battety life is pretty good, not P30 Pro good but it'll get you through the day.

More importantly LG's software doesnt crap on the phone over time (here's looking at you Samsung) and tbey still provide usefull things like manual camera controls, knock on/off, etc.

It's a solid phone. Buy one on swappa.com....i picked mine up new for $390 there.

I’ll have to look into that, thanks. Well the pixel was released not long ago for my carrier, so I’m debating the pixel 4 when it does release.

I have it.....great phone. Bought it last July and has served me well. LG is a bit slow to release updates unlike Samsung but the phone has never caused me any issues. I switched just because I use Google Calendar and have G-Mail so everything syncs easy with my work schedule and all. I got it unlocked right when it came out and love it. Will never switch back to Apple. The G8 is out now however it is stupid expensive ($850). The G7 is on B&H right now I believe for $379.

It really is. $30 off if you use the Amazon 5% card plus another $60 off if you search "get more" in the Amazon app. That's a screaming deal.
