Hopefully this new Tremec DCT has a nice close ratio . My GTR and R8 had super close ratio gears without the overdrive . R8 shits into 5th gear at around 110mph , runs from 6800-8900rpms

You're such a tool. Who didn't get back to who about this bet? For transparency's sake so the rest of the people here know what's happening you got a PM almost a month ago but I didn't hear back from you. If you know how to read I even conceded partly to your dragstrip demands on the bet and suggested a mod for each car (likely DR's) for the best results from each car when they go.

You had your chance for this bet, I heard nothing and knowing now you have no reason to run your car stock against a ZR1 stock I'm done AFA this bet is concerned. Sounds to me you lack the confidence that your GT500 can win against a ZR1 no wonder I heard nothing back from you.

As for your allocation, whether you found one or not again what do I care? Your money do whatever the **** you want with it. Nowhere did I ever say I was getting a new GT500 I'm shopping for a new ZR1 if I can find one. I'll consider a GT500 only if I can't find a ZR1 and I get all the details and performance stats on a GT500 and they are favorable. You want to get one even before you know what it can do...…………...your loss bucko if the car ends up being a dud.

All those posts mentioning your pencil dick DCT friend...…………...seesh forget a crush, sounds like you and him must share a room together. Just stay in there and don't come out.

you mean i didnt read the PM you sent because you had already started adding more and more stipulations before i even logged back in? lolol. No reason for me to, but i will now just for closure.
i really hope your the best troll ive ever come across, if not, you're the biggest functional retard ive come across.

dispute anything we've ever discussed with facts and data.. oh, thats right, you cant.

Ill wait for your next 6 paragraph emotional response to get some more attn,

Google is your friend.

TR-9070 DCT 7-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission

Not 100% sure but the Shelby I believe has the A tranny with those ratios, if not then it's the other one.

I would be surprised if Ford uses those trans ratios for the GT500. When you special order 5,000+ transmissions, I'm pretty sure that you will have a say in how they are configured.

It seems odd to me to have a 7 speed box with 3 overdrive gears... maybe it makes so much damn torque it doesnt matter, because the C7 z06 M7 is the exact same way.

It may not have 3 overdrive gears, 5th gear could be 1:1.
I don't think fuel economy factored into the gear ratios. This was the case in 13/14 GT500 with the useless 6th gear, that car had no gas guzzler tax, fast forward to the 2020 GT500, seeing that it has the highest gas guzzler tax ($2600) of any of its other competitors', says to me that fuel economy was not a priority when this car was conceived.

Both gear sets listed have 3 od

Tremec bothered to build a box with 3 OD gears, and like I said, the C7 M7 is the same way. There's obviously some consistent thought process there.

Does that mean they are not capable of making one with 2 overdrives?

From Tremec TR-7007 DCT™ / TR-9007 DCT™ Specs
"Alternative ratios available upon request; may result in different maximum input torque"

ok, does it change my point if its 2 or 3 overdrives though? What's the point of having that many gears when only 4 (maybe 5) are actually providing good acceleration?

It depends on how tall the OD gears are, you could still have a close ratio 7 speed transmission if the gear ratios were spaced properly.

The 2013/14 GT500 was able to go 198+ mph in 5th gear (.77:1)(6100 rpm), 4th gear (1:1) topped out at about 162 MPH (6500 rpm). It depends on what your definition of OD is, is it any ratio lower than 1:1?

I thought by definition anything lower than 1:1 was an overdrive gear? I mean, I guess there's only so short you can make a 1st gear to still be useful, and then still have good spacing between 1st and X number of gears. Still though, I wouldn't think of anything lower than 1:1 as an acceleration gear, but rather a cruising gear.

The '13/'14 had a $1300 gas guzzler tax. The '11/'12 did not have a gas guzzler tax.
